Description: you're the girlfriend of one Tom Holland, waiting ~patiently~ for him to propose. But you may have to take matters into your own hands."I'm telling you Tory, he's not planning on proposing." You turn to your best friend, rolling your eyes as you gripped your cup of tea.
"I'm sorry but I don't believe that you two have been together for four years and you've never spoken about getting married." Tory shook her brunette head back and forth, scoffing at me.
"It's not like we haven't talked about it..." I sigh, "but it's just... we're so young. And Tom's about to start filming Spider-Man Two, and it's... the timing isn't right." You explain running your hands through your h/c coloured hair.
"That's insane. He's crazy about you, and you're obviously crazy about him. And you want to marry him, otherwise you wouldn't be all sour that he didn't propose on your anniversary yesterday." Tory pointed out. You groaned, leaning your head against the table in the flat you and Tom owned. She was right.
Yesterday marked the four year anniversary since Tom asked you to be his girlfriend. And he gave you flowers, and took you out on a romantic candlelit dinner, and yes he did give you a diamond, just one set in a necklace, not a ring. It seemed like he was going to propose though. It really did. He kept going on about how he couldn't live without you, and how he would love you to his dying day. Now that you think about it, maybe those are just things you say on an anniversary, but you still got your hopes up. But really, you couldn't blame him. You were barely into your twenties, and his career was skyrocketing, he was constantly shooting new movies, or doing press tours. But at the same time, where was your life going? You had finished university, but didn't actually have a job. Your life centred around Tom. If he had to go to LA for a premier, you went too. If he went on a press tour, so did you. You had given so much up for this man, willingly of course. And you loved him with all your heart, you truly did. And that's how an idea formed in your head.
"You know what?" You asked, looking Tory dead in the eye. "Fuck it. If he's not going to propose-" you started to declare, but were cut off by the jingling of keys, and two men's voices.
"You're 22 Tom. I don't know how you're still so naïve as to think Spider-Man would be able to beat Batman." You heard the voice of one mister Harrison Osterfield say, as they returned from the gym. You couldn't help but roll your eyes. They'd had this debate for as long as you knew them, longer in fact. And yet they were still arguing about a highly mythical subject.
"But how do I know Spider-Man would win?" Your boyfriend asked his best mate, walking into the dining room where you and Tory were sitting.
"Because you're Spider-Man." Haz mumbled, sitting down across from you.
"Hello Love," Tom chirped, pecking the top of your head.
"Hi," was all you could make out, your cheeks blushing furiously from your previous conversation with Tory. What if he heard you? But he then placed his head on your shoulder, and you felt your worry wash away.
"Ugh get a room," Tory groaned as Tom began to plant kisses along the side of your neck.
"Last I checked this is our flat," Tom started.
"So you're free to leave," you finished, high-fiving Tom.
"Alright mate I'm gonna go home, I need a shower." Haz said walking out of the room.
"Oof, you do too," you joke, ruffling his slightly sweaty hair.
"Y/n I'll see you tomorrow, you two need to talk," she said eyeing me sharply.
"What do we need to talk about?" Tom asked you, his eyes widening in fear.
"Nothing," you laugh lightly, shaking your head. "Tory's just being silly."
"Oh I forgot to tell you, I have to go away for a few days," Tom said, walking into your bedroom.
"What for?" You followed him in, and sat down on the bed, allowing yourself to fall backwards so you were lying down.
"Comicpalooza." He said simply, tearing his gym shirt off over his head. Your eyes gravitated to his glistening abs, before his words sunk in.
"Wait what? When?" You asked him, getting up off the bed.
"Not for awhile. The end of this month (a/n yes, we are pretending Comicpalooza is in June😂)." Tom shrugged.
"Damnit." You muttered, scurrying to grab your phone. Opening the calendar section, you quickly scanned it. "What day in particular?"
"The 23rd and 24th. Why?" He asks, jumping on to the bed next to you.
"Because it's my cousin's baby shower the 23rd. I promised I would be there." You whine, immediately running your hands through his hair.
"No stress love. It's just two days, four at the most. I'll leave the 22nd and be back before you wake up that Monday," he chuckled, removing your hands from his hair in order to kiss them.
"Yeah, I suppose." You grumbled, before lying back down, letting yourself be enveloped by Tom's strong arms.
You and Tory were walking down the streets of London, quacksons in hand when your phone started to buzz. You looked down to see the profile picture of you cousin, crumpling up her face, holding a peace sign to the camera.
"Hi!" You called into the phone.
"Hey Y/n, I gotta be quick I have to call a lot of people - I'm so sorry to flake like this, but I just heard that my husband's mum is going away the weekend of the shower, so we're going to push it back to July. Does that work?" You could hear nervousness taint your cousin's voice.
"Yeah, that's actually perfect!" You beamed at Tory, who looked back at you with a confused face.
After hanging up, and explaining the situation to Tory, you devised a plan. Heading to Harrison's flat, you rang the bell.
"Y/n?" He asked, opening the door looking around the hallway presumably for Tom.
"I need your help Haz." You said, walking in before he could invite you.
"Uh... yeah, is everything alright?"
"I'm proposing to Tom." You blurt out.
"What?!" Harrison says as the door slams behind you.
Part two to follow soon...
