The bad thing about working all the time is that I don't get to see my dad. But I'm making money to get him what he needs, I got him a doctors appointment with a good cardiologist set up and enough money to get him his medication. That's all I wanted so that's all I need to get.

But since he cannot work with his heart in its condition I was the only source of income. And the hospital is a great job with long hours but it isn't enough. So I kept the waitressing job because the tips are nice and I didn't want to quit knowing that they were short of staff. I couldn't do that to them.

So I spent this nice Monday evening in the restaurant slash bar and served people their drinks and food. They watch whichever Monday night football game that was on TV and cheer for whichever team was playing against the Packers or the Patriots. I haven't been in Chicago for too long but I've learned that quickly.

I had a few small tables but nothing too crazy. I sit and talk to one of the chefs as we discuss how terribly cold this later February weather was.

"There's a big party at table 2 and my other table is being impossible, can you please take it" my co-worker Ruby begs. She was one of the few friends I had here but I loved her. She was the funniest person I've ever met.

"Of course" I smile.

"God Tori, you're a lifesaver" she sighs as she goes to wait on another table. I walk over to table two and pull out my pen and pad.

"Good evening everyone, thank you all for stoping in tonight. What can I..." I trail off.

I look down and see Patrick and all of his buddies sitting there. He smiles big once he realizes it was me and I kind of laugh.

"Tori" he asks.

"Hey Pat" I smile.

"Hey Tori" Jonathan says and I nod.

"Hey Jonny" I reply.

"Do you remember who I am" one of the guys asks.

"You would be... Patrick Sharp" I say. "And that's Brent and that's Andrew" I list off.

"Oh she's good" he claims and I laugh.

"Alright, what can I get you boys started off with to drink" I ask.

Most of them say a beer until I get over to Patrick.

"A water" he says and I smile.

"Oooooh" the boys gasp and I roll my eyes.

"Alright. I'll be right back with your drinks" I tell them.

As soon as I walk away I hear them all start to give Patrick a hard time and I just shake my head. Boys, can't live with them, can't live without them.

I quickly get their drink orders and return to the table. I pass out the drinks before tucking the tray under my arm and continuing on doing my job.

"Would you all like a few more minutes to look over the menu or do you guys know what you want" I question.

"I know what Kaner wants" Sharpy winks before there's a loud thud and the table moves. He lets out a soft groan and I kind of laugh at them. Patrick sends him a hard glare as the other guys try to hide their giggles.

"What would you like Jonathan" I ask trying to smooth things over for Patrick's sake.

"I want a ceaser salad" he says.

"Alright. What type of dressing" I wonder.

"Ranch is fine" he claims.

"I thought Patrick said you worked at a hospital" Andrew randomly says and the table falls silent. Everyone kind of just looks at him as they try to figure out why he just asked that.
