*this is a oneshot (kms)

you and tori langerud have been friends for five years, best friends for three. you have wanted to kiss her for two.

at the moment, instead of macking on tori, you are drawing a picture of her. her slanted grey eyes, her tufts of hair like demon horns, her plump lips. it was early, around 6:00 AM, so she wasn't awake yet. she woke up around ten, the second latest sleeper in the house (tamara would wake at eleven on most days).

your poor heart was aching, as you listened to a song describing your situation perfectly - oh, tori. you thought. i don't wanna be your friend, i wanna be your bitch.

tori was applying blood red lipstick, chatting with you about her date and how he seemed nice enough. cute ass. nice hair. you nodded and laughed,  and wished you were the one getting to take her out.

when she left you walked to your room, laid down and tried to cry quietly.

pasta for dinner. ell sat next to you and you both jokingly flirted, starting with a complement on the food and ending with you kneeling and asking for marriage. she just giggled and said she had a boyfriend. so you settled for seconds of spaghetti and staring at tori.

after dinner everyone crowded into the living room and watched some boring rom-com. you glanced at tori's lips and hand (just hold it you told yourself) before retiring to bed early.

you and tamara were sitting on the couch, watching daytime tv. matilda was out at the gym, ell was drawing in her room, and tori had gone out for lunch with someone she met at a cafe.

"hey." tamara said your name, and looked over at you. "do you like tori?"

your face got warm. you sputtered out a yes, deciding tamara was drunk and wouldn't remember this.

"oh, okay. well, she has a huge thing for you. i think its mostly her weird obsession with pretty people, but she likes you." tamara said.

"haha. uh, pretty?"

"don't act dumb. you're super hot. anyway. i have band practice." tamara stood and stretched, waving on her way to the door. "see ya."

"um. bye tammy."

it was an hour till dinner, and you were washing the dishes when someone wrapped an arm around your waist.

you nearly dropped a damn plate when you saw the familiar bracelets around her wrist.

"hey elskling. i heard you have a little crush on someone." tori murmured, voice low. your legs went a bit weak when she dropped the pet name.

"uh. uh. i, wh-what?" you stammered. she just chuckled. you set the sponge and plate down and took off your gloves, turning around to find tori trapping you against the counter. holy shit you wanted to make out with her. her pink lips and pale skin and caramel hair. the mascara fading from her lashes and the perfect eyeliner.

tori lifted a hand and placed it on your cheek, eyes suddenly soft and curious. you glanced at the kitchen doorway, only to find the tv on (rather loud) and the girls slumped on the couch.

"do you like me, honning?" as she said this, her thumb traced by your bottom lip and she glanced at your mouth.

you just blushed and nodded.

tori's soft smile turned into a smirk.

"good." she whispered, voice suddenly low again.

she wrapped her arms around your neck and leaned towards you, stalling right before your face. she smelled of coffee and flower perfume. you shouted geronimo! in your head and kissed her.

she tasted like mint. she had probably had some gum before coming home, but you didn't care. your eyes closed and she sighed, smiling into the kiss.

"woah! guys!" matilda laughed.

you broke apart, and tori wrapped her arm around your waist and smirked at the three girls now in of the kitchen.

you buried your head in your hands and laughed.

that night, tori slept in your bed and you held her hand all night.
