The substitute

Chapter 21

"I think we should go back now" I tell Harry, but he just pulls me closer to him.

"Five more minutes" he grumbles.

"Come on Harry" as much as I don't want to leave I don't want the students to think something is going on between Harry and I even though in reality nothing is going on between Harry and I if that even make sense.

I unwrap his arm from my body and stand up I start walking away from Harry and towards the classroom the more I walk towards the classroom I start to feel more and more nervous.

The second I enter the classroom all eyes are on me, but not like the usual way, their eyes are all filled with sympathy and pity. I hate it when people look at me with sympathy I don't need their sympathy I'm not weak and even though I may have weak moments I don't show it to anyone except for people who chose to watch and care for me at my weakest moments.

In the corner of my eyes I see Bradley my heart starts to race I start to pick my nails and fidget.

"Class dismissed" I say quietly.

The whole class leaves quietly and quickly at the same time I'm not even sure if I'm aloud to dismiss the class, but I don't care I need everyone to leave.

"Hey are you okay?" Liam asks me frantically.

"Ya I'm fine" I tell him.

"I'm so sorry I couldn't help you" he apologizes.

"It's fine you tried to help me and I really appreciate that" I assure him.

"Ya I tried, but I couldn't save you" he says.

"Honestly I think I was just overreacting he was just holding my hand he couldn't rape me in the middle of the classroom or something" I say.

"You're lucky it was in the classroom what if it was in a dark alley way" he says worridly.

"Liam I wasn't in a dark alley way I was in a classroom" I laugh at how protective he is.

"Zoe you got to be more careful" he tells me.

"I know" I say.

"So is there anything I could do for you?" Liam asks me.

"Can you come with me to the main office? I need to check the detention list" I ask him.

"Ya no problem" he says.

We both walk to the main office together and Liam being the protective guy he is, he stands next to me leaving no space between me and him.

"Here you go" he hands me the list.

I look on the list and see Harry and Bradley my heart starts to race once again and worry fills me.

Liam looks at the list and see Bradley's name worry fills his eyes.

"You can't go" he says.

"I have to" I tell him.

"You have to be careful" he tells me.

"I will" I assure him.

Liam gives me a hug and we hug for about five minutes straight he tells me he has to go and I go to the detention room once I enter I see both Harry and Bradley I start to feel a little better when I see Harry.

I sit on the desk not paying attention to the both of them hoping Bradley ditches while I'm not looking sadly he doesn't. I feel someone tapping on my desk and suddenly fear takes over me if I remove this book in front of my face and see Bradley I will scream.

I slowly remove the history book from my face revealing a curly headed boy making me sigh in relief.

"Hey" he says.
