"After talking it over, we decided to cover up what happened. Thanks to that, it's been a year since the incident. But everything is pretty much the same at Cross Academy... Apart from the fact that the Night class is gone. We told the students that the Moon Dorm had to be torn down because it was too old and the entire intruder incident was simply to test the campus security...
Oh, and about the memories of the students connected to the vampires... We conducted interviews with each student, and those who were not directly involved or who were better off not knowing had their memories erased with a spell. There was a group of students who firmly refused to have their memories erased... and they still remember the incident." Yagari leaned back in his chair a rested his foot on the desk as he lit his cigarette he had in his mouth.
"That's pretty much what went down... You can read up on the details in the report, Idiot." He spoke up in annoyance as he threw down the large stack of paper on the desk, causing the ashtray next to him to shake slightly from the impact.
The headmaster came closer to the desk and made the stack of paper look neater as he kept a serious look on his face after hearing the report Yagari had read out just moments ago and Shiro stood by the window, listening carefully.
"So you're returning to the post as headmaster. Nobody would ever want to deal with such a bothersome order-taker anyway. You should see how stuck up the division directors have become." Yagari sighed, blowing out smoke. "Stuff like... 'The head of the Ichijo Clan is going to change, but make sure to keep up contact with them.' or 'Keep up or contact with the Aido Clan too.' and... 'We must have some sort of connection with Kaname Kuran as well."
Shiro glanced over as he watches him remove the cancer stick from his mouth and shot a glance to the Headmaster in front of him that looked unfazed by his blabbering. "Hmph. No wonder you were able to create the Night Class, Cross." Yagari paused for a moment and glanced down at the pile of papers by his shoes.
"The directors strongly influence world politics and the financial markets. They may not know the exact identities of the students in the Night Class, but prestigious families are more than enough to interest them. They're no different from the last President... and that Pureblood that went after your adopted daughter and that girl."
Shiro bit his lip and Kaien looked down as his mind began to fill with memories from that night a year ago. He immediately snapped away from his thoughts as Yagari stood up from the chair with a sigh.
"You take care of the rest then. Let's see what kind of conclusion you came to in the past year. Let's get going, Shiro." Shiro sighed as he walked over to the door.
"Thank you two for everything." Kaien finally spoke up, his face still serious.
"Yeah, you should be thankful." He huffed as he opened the door that led into the hallway.
"But things are going to get even harder now..." The headmaster furrowed his eyebrows as his voice showed slight worry.
"Yeah I agree, but it can't be helped," Shiro said lastly before the door shut, leaving Kaien alone in his office.

"So insistent... Didn't I tell you before? I am a member of the hunter society... I'm in no position to tell you anything or decide anything." Zero sighed in annoyance as he was surrounded by Yori and two other people from the Day Class.
"Kiryu... The reason the Night Class hasn't come back isn't because they've become our enemy, right?" The boy behind Yori questioned.
"Yagari and the society told you everything you need to know," Zero answered as he leaned against the building wall. "There are vampires who aren't enemies, but there are also ones who are, so don't force the issue. The ones who are known to be a threat will be hunted down, that's all." He explained before standing up straight and giving the three students one final look.
