Hours have passed and the morning dawn would soon approach. I tossed and turned in my warm bed, not getting an ounce of sleep since we got home. I held my large white pillow close to my face and groaned quietly in frustration.
'There are too many things going through my mind right now...'
I sighed quietly and pulled the pillow away from my face. 'It's not like I need to sleep right now... I am a vampire after all.'
"Don't get involved with the Kurans. Especially Kaname Kuran."
"..."
As my eyes roamed around the dark bedroom, my gaze fell on the rose necklace that rested on the side table next to my bed. I bit my lip and squeezed the pillow close to my chest as the heavy feeling grew heavier.
"Don't get involved, huh?" I said quietly out loud without realizing. I sat up and gently grabbed the chain and stared at it in the dark. Even now, I still wonder why you even gave this to me... A year has passed and just hours ago, you cause us grief...
I felt warm tears fall down my cheek as a mixture of anger and sadness swallowed me while I held the necklace close to my chest. I wiped away my tears and laid back down, still holding onto the necklace and ignored the burning feeling in my throat that has been growing stronger lately. I sighed quietly as I leaned over and grabbed some tablets from my drawer and stood from my bed before leaving my room silently to get some water.
'I can't let these feelings devour me.'

It was late afternoon and the clouds filled the sky as the bright sun rays escaped through any opening. Lia tugged her grey coat tightly for warmth as walked up to the front door of her friend's home. She raised her hand to the door, feeling hesitant as she didn't knock.
'Emi...' She thought with worry. During the night, she was wondering the neighborhood with her older brother out of boredom until she spotted a black car pull up to Emi's house. When she saw her friend step out the car, she was curious at first on why she was out so late but quickly abandoned the thought as she was about to call out a greeting, but her words quickly became caught in her throat when she noticed the expression she had...
'She looked... sad.' Lia thought with worry as she stared at the front door she was hesitant to knock on. She bit her lip before she raises her fist and gave a fast yet soft knock on the door. She stood back and watched the house with anticipation, searching for any sudden movements. Suddenly, the door opened to reveal Risa.
"Oh, Lia! What a pleasant surprise. What brings you here so early?" She smiled with slight exhaustion in her eyes.
"O-Oh I don't mean to bother! Is Emi home? I would like to speak with her if possible!"
"Oh yes, come in! But please be quiet, Ryuu is taking his nap." Risa hummed quietly she moved to the side for Lia to walk in. Once she stepped into the quiet house, the smell of ginger lingered in the air.
"I was working on some medicine so I apologize if it smells strange in here." Risa let out an exhausted sigh before she led her to the hallway
"She's in her room." Lia nodded and walked down the corridor quietly. As Emi's bedroom door was in sight, she suddenly bumped into something that quickly came out of the room next to her. She quickly stumbled back and looked up to see Shiro, who was staring at her with surprise.
"A-Ah I'm so sorry."
Shiro sighed quietly and continued on his way, leaving the startled girl alone.
