Past memories

Your POV:

Two months have passed since Loki came to the tower and we've actually become good friends. My notebook disappeared but I found it in my bathroom. Loki and I have to stay in the tower since he can't go out but we read and train to pass the time. I also showed him some movies and series on Netflix when we got bored of doing the same thing every day. Once in a while, Thor comes to see if everything is alright. I find him quite funny but a bit annoying sometimes. Tony's worse, he completely dispises Loki and I's friendship, always saying some comments on how Loki could be doing this only to get out of the tower. The others have actually started to trust Loki more, it makes me really happy to see him get along with everyone. He still has some trust issues but we are both helping each other with that.

Sadly, I've started to get more and more exhausted over the past months. I think that it has something to do with Loki but I don't know what or how. He sometimes looks at me in worry but I just smile, acting like I'm alright when inside I feel like I'm about to pass out. But I'm going to tell him today. I'll tell him everything very soon. I just need some time. I just need time.

As I tell myself this, I hear a knock on my door since I'm lying on my bed right now. I get up and gently open the door to see Loki himself. Smiling, I open the door more and he comes inside.

(Y/N)- So, what's up?

Loki- I just came to see if you were alright. We haven't seen you all morning.

We both sit on my bed while talking, a habit because of how much time we pass at the library.

(Y/N)- What!? Oh my god, it's 10 am! I didn't realize how much time passed, I'm sorry.

Sorry that I can't tell you. I have to though, he's my friend for god's sake! Come on, just do it!

Loki- It is fine. *frown* Are you sure that you are okay?

Come on, I have to tell him! Just tell him, just tell him, just tell him, just tell him, please tell him.

(Y/N)- I... I don't know...

Sighing in defeat, I shrug and look down, unable to look at him in the eyes.

Loki- Is it because of your waves of exhaustion recently?

I can do this, stay calm, don't panic. FUCKING STAY CALM YOU IDJIT! (A/N: My everyday life)

(Y/N)- You told me about your past, it is time I tell you about mine. I'm just scared of what you might think.

Loki- I am a Jotun and killed hundreds of people, I won't judge you or what you did in the past.

(Y/N)- Your Jotun form is awesome and at least you had a reason for killing all of those humans. I mean, it's better than nothing.

Loki- It does make me happy that you like my Jotun form but the subject of this conversation is you.

Smiling softly, he takes my hand to encourage me to speak. I take a deep breath and prepare to tell him everything about my past.

(Y/N)- When I was ten, my parents got me a dog. I loved it but saw how it was acting strangely as if it could understand what we say. Nonetheless, I took good care of it. The next year though, it attacked my parents, tore them apart and ate their hearts. I thought that I was going to die when it bit me too but it transformed into a human which surprised me.

At that, I stopped talking. The memories were too strong. Slightly panicking, I started to shake but calmed down when Loki took hold of my other hand.

(Y/N)- He told me what he was and that I was like him now. From that day on, I did everything he told me to, listened to every order, including the ones where I had to kill people. As years passed, I became emotionless, a machine. I stayed like that for thirteen years until he ordered me to do something that was too horrible for me to do.

I stopped, starting to shake again. He started to slowly stroke my hands and I calmed down again.

(Y/N)- I saw myself in the little girl. That's when I understood how bad this was, how horrible. This has probably been going for generations. I had to stop the curse. I killed him that day and swore to never kill again unless I needed to. The fact that I never actually ate a heart helped me a lot in the endeavour to control this side of me, the one that wants blood. But I have to, I have to.

All this time, I was looking down, but when I finished, I looked at him with tears in my eyes. I will never forget the look that he gave me, one of love and trust. It was so intense that I had to look away.

Loki- You still have not told me what he was and turned you into.

I hesitated for a moment but, knowing that I could trust him, transformed into my dog form, a (F/D/B) (favourite dog breed). I go to my opened closet and take a coat before changing back. I mean, it's not my fault that my clothes disappear when I change. I put the coat on and go back to the bed.

At first, he just stares at me but the next thing I know, I'm in his room standing in front of him reading a page in the red notebook.

Loki- So, you're a Skinchanger.

(Y/N)- Sadly, I am.

Loki- Why do you read a book that says to kill you?

(Y/N)- I am the one that wrote it. It is very important to me.

I take it from him and look back at the page about Skinchangers. I sigh as I read it.

(Y/N)- There isn't a cure...

Loki- You don't need a cure. From what you told me and write in this book, you can control the evil side and it's not like transforming into a beautiful dog makes you a monster. You are great just the way you are.

(Y/N)- For the god of mischief, you're not that bad at pep talks.

I laugh as I say this, happy that he doesn't think I'm a monster. But there is still the problem of my exhaustion.

(Y/N)- There are many reasons that I wanted to tell you about my past. One of them is that I think my exhaustion has something to do with all of this. I need your help to understand why I'm like this.

Loki- From what I understand, your exhaustion is probably caused by your need of a mate.

(Y/N)- Some things don't add up though. Why now? I have to go and search about it. I also really need to change. Thank you, Loki. You're a great friend.

I quickly hug him and run to my room and change before doing some research, not seeing Loki's blush.

I had NO idea how to name this chapter. I wanted to put past in it and just had a flash of X-Men Days Of Future Past. Almost started laughing my ass off at 11 pm. My life. Anyway, I did that while almost asleep so sorry if it's weird. I'm annoyed because Loki isn't very Loki in this chapter, might change some things tomorrow. Hope you liked it though!
