Courtney Billiards, 21 was a young blonde girl with a slim figure and a warm, bouncy personality.
She loved nature, walking through the local woods was her favourite thing to do in order to relax or just to pass the time.
Late one Saturday afternoon when a gentle breeze was blowing through the leaves as Courtney walked along the fields close to the woods.
She had a black blouse on teamed with black leggings and black pumps with a small black rucksack on her back.
She had black sunglasses propped on her head as the sun shone brightly over the green fields.
The path was smooth and dry as she headed along a route she knew well. It was longer route that many people and hikers never took.
As she neared the end of the route she could her birds singing and dragonfly wings brushing the air as a sparkling reflection came into view.
She smiled and beamed as the large clear blue lake sparkled in the sunlight. She popped her bag down close to the water and took out a small blanket and unfolded it onto the ground and sat down. She removed her pumps and reached into one of the side pockets of her bag and pulled out a small cigarette packet.
She inhaled as small amount of the breeze smelling roses and fresh grass scents drifting through the air. She pulled out a cigarette and lit it up.
"I always love it here" she thought to herself, "It's such a nice place, what i would give to be a part of this " she inhaled deeply and let out a small cloud of grey smoke .
She smiled as a duck landed gently on the water creating small ripples complete oblivious to her toes shrinking and her feet growing longer. She took another puff on her cigarette as her tailbone tingled.
It steadily and slowly grew longer pushing out over her leggings as it grew to be half the size of her legs.
It already sported a white stripe running up the middle over it as black hair grew on either side of the white stripe.
Suddenly she dropped her cigarette and rummaged through her bag until she pulled out her phone.
She had seen all sorts of animals in the woodlands and the forests but never before had she seen a deer by the lake.
Carefully she knelt up and aimed her camera phone towards the deer.
Lining it up the angles and the deer she clicked a button and took the picture.
"Perfect" she smiled but as she sat back down she yelped and shot straight up onto her feet before falling forwards.
Confusion wrapped around her mind as she looked over her shoulders and saw something black with a white stripe sticking up in the air.
"A TAIL?" she cried out slightly puzzled as she didn't know why she had fallen over when she tried to stand up.
Looking between her legs she screamed and scared off the deer as she saw too feet covered in black hairs that weren't hers
Suddenly she felt pressure building inside her as her insides changed and reshaped and without her mind telling it to her backside let out a lethal smell.
Her nose blackened and became moist as it combined with her top lip. With it her sense of smell became highly advanced and as she sniffed she smelt the smell emitted from her backside and gasped.
"SKUNK!" she chirped looking round seeing nothing around her. Her face crunched and cracked as it pulled out into a muzzle.
Scared and worried she pulled herself over to the lake and looked at her reflection, she screamed.
"The skunk wasn't around her, she was becoming the skunk" as she could she her small muzzle attached to her face, black hairs consuming her face as a white striped ran up the centre of her muzzle and forehead. Her blonde hair was nowhere to be seen.
Her fingers clicked as they grew smaller, her fingernails and toenails grew longer and sharper becoming black claws.
She chirped like a skunk as she found the world becoming bigger her mind slowly fading away.
Moments later a scared skunk hurried into the forest as a jogger approached.
Courtney was now part of the forest.
