The sun was shining early Monday morning as David exited his house to start the long walk to school. He hadn't gotten used to the size of his new home town. The town of Manning was nothing like Calgary, less than 4000 people. Only one school, no major shopping centers, he felt as if he'd stepped back in time. Small shops lined the streets. Family run business, probably owned since the nineteen forties when Manning was founded. At least they had a Tim Horton's, about the only thing keeping David from begging his parents to leave. They had moved less than a month ago, and David still didn't have any real friends, but he sure had someone he would call an enemy. In fact, lots of kids called Reggie Connors their enemy. Reggie was the biggest guy in all of Richard Bennet High School. Standing an intimidating six foot six, he towered over every one else. He was the school's top athlete in almost every sport imaginable. He worked out a lot, which made him even more intimidating. Reggie's biggest problem though, was his attitude. Reggie's father raised him rough, always making him do things to "prove he was a man". Unfortunately for a lot of school kids, this turned Reggie into the town bully. Reggie's mother always attempted to straighten her son out, but his father never once punished him. In fact, he encouraged it.
David hadn't seen Reggie outside of school in a few days now, and was hoping that his luck would continue. Unfortunately for David, he saw Reggie round the corner of Mark's barbershop, staring at him. David swallowed and began to run, but Reggie was on him as fast as a timber wolf on a fallen elk. David fell as Reggie's hands grabbed his shoulders, ripping the backpack off its straps. David would later not remember much of what happened, but Reggie's hand came down over his face a number of times, bruising the tissue around the eye. When he came to consciousness, David looked around and saw his papers and books strewn about the ground. He was out back of someone's shop, though he couldn't tell where. He shivered and fought off the pain in his head as he started collecting his stuff up. He had no idea what time it was, but he knew that by now he'd have to be late. Just as he was finishing collecting his things, a middle aged woman stepped out of the back of the shop, carrying garbage for the bin. She blinked when she saw David and dropped the bag, coming over to him.
"Oh my gosh, are you okay?" she crouched forward a little to get a look at his black eye.
David winced and nodded to her, "Yes, I'm...fine thank you." He stumbled a little, almost dropping his now strapless backpack.
She caught his shoulder before he could fall. "David isn't it? You're Marie's boy right? Come on inside, I'll get you some ice for that." She led him gingerly into the shop and to a table and pulled a chair out for him. She went to an old chest freezer in the corner and scooped out some ice chunks, wrapping them in a towel and brought them back over to him. "Here, put that on your eye." David thanked her and pressed the ice to his eye, wincing at the initial pain, but then relaxing as it took away the burning sensation. She went and poured out a couple glasses of orange juice and came back over, setting one down in front of him. "Let me guess," she looked at him with a frown "You got hit by a six and a half foot, red-headed truck?" David frowned as well and nodded. The woman shook her head and sighed. "Someday, that boy is gonna get his." She looked over to him and smiled. "Where are my manners?" She extended her hand to David. "My name is Tammy; I'm one of the towns hair stylists. Your mother comes here to get her hair done."
David pulled the ice away from his eye and blinked it. Fortunately, it wasn't as badly swollen as he originally feared. "If Reggie is such a problem, why doesn't anyone do anything about him?" Hey, it was a valid question. How many times could someone get away with beating kids up?
Tammy frowned a little. "He gets punished for it, but it's never enough. His mother even tried to have him sent to the army for disciplining, but his father wouldn't let her." She shook her head and sipped her juice. "Like I said though, don't worry, he'll get his eventually." She looked at the clock and blinked. "Uh oh, looks like your late for school. Don't worry, I'll call them and explain for you." David blinked and smiled, he had never met a stranger with this much compassion before. Maybe life in a small town wouldn't be so bad after all. He listened as she phoned the school, and was even more surprised by her addressing the principle as "Bruce" not "Mister Dempsey". She came back to the table and smiled. "He said he understands. He's even having Reggie brought into the office until the ceremony today."
David blinked at her as he finished his juice. "A ceremony? What ceremony?"
Tammy smiled softly and nodded "You wouldn't know since your new here. Every year on this day, the school holds a small ceremony for two of its students who went missing. Today is the five year anniversary of their disappearance." David blinked in shock. Tammy sat and continued "Sophie and Laura went missing after school one night. Their bodies were never found. They just...disappeared."
David nodded slowly. "Do their families still live here?"
Tammy looked over to him as she stood up from her chair "Sophie's mother is still around. Laura's family moved away a couple years ago. They said that they would never be able to move on if they remained here. Between you and I though, from what I heard from a rather well trusted source, Laura was a bully too. She liked to pick on girls who weren't as..." she drew her hands up to make finger quotes. "...perfect as her." She slipped her jacket off the back of her chair and smiled. "Come on, I'll drive ya to school." David smiled slowly and got up, thanking her yet again. "Yep," he thought, "This isn't such a bad town after all."
It was nine-thirty when David finally got to class. His teacher had been informed of why he would be late, and winced when she saw his eye. But David insisted that he was alright and didn't wish to go home. He was intrigued by this remembrance ceremony that Tammy had talked about, and wanted to know more about what happened. He sat through class patiently. The eleventh grade class only had fourteen kids in it, which he was pretty thrilled with. Back in Calgary, his classes had upwards of thirty to thirty five kids in it, which made it rather hard to concentrate. Around ten o'clock, the bell sounded, which called all students to the gymnasium. By the podium were two pictures, one of each girl. Laura was blonde bombshell every young boy dreams about, while Sophie was a rather plain looking girl with short brown hair and a shy smile. Flowers had been set in front of both pictures. The principle talked for a few minutes about each girl, and how students must keep a constant vigil to keep themselves safe. The vice principle also spoke about the girls for a while, and then led the students in singing Amazing Grace. Then, they bowed their heads as a bell was sounded 18 times, the age that each girl was when they disappeared. David had never met these girls, but in his heart, he felt sad for them.
The rest of the day passed relatively quickly. David went home and did his chores and his homework as per usual. Then, after dinner, he decided to go for a walk, maybe find Tammy and thank her for her hospitality earlier in the day. The town was rather nice at night. No huge billowing smoke stacks, no big billboards. He was amazed how many stars he could see here. The town would be perfect he thought, if it wasn't for Reggie. No sooner had he thought that thought, then he was hit in the back by a stone. He stumbled forward a little and turned wide eyed. Not 20 feet behind him was Reggie, and he looked mad!
"So, ya little shrimp. You think its funny making me sit in the principles office all day? HUH? DO YA?" Reggie moved forward, cracking his knuckles. David didn't even try for a retort, or tell him that, well yes, he deserved it after what he had done to him. He simply turned and ran. Now, earlier in the day, David had been caught after less than a hundred yards. But this time, minutes seemed to go buy, and Reggie wasn't catching up. In fact, when David looked back, he saw Reggie stumbling a little as he ran. It almost seemed as if Reggie couldn't see very well. Maybe he was night blind? David used that to try and evade as best he could, dipping and dodging around buildings. After a few more minutes, they came to the edge of the town. Large oaks, pines and walnut trees cradled the town for miles in each direction. David was hoping he could lose Reggie in the trees. But unfortunately, he lost his footing and came down with a loud crack sound as he broke some sticks with his fall. He scrambled to get up, but it was too late. Reggie grabbed the back of his shirt and tore it open and the shoulders then turned him around and laid one heavy shot to David's stomach. Winding him, and dropping him to the ground. As David tried to recover, Reggie reached down and grabbed the necklace David wore, a simple gold chain, given to him by his grandfather. Reggie unclasped it and backed away. "Thanks. This will do nicely. Don't ever try and get me in trouble again ya little girl!" With that, he turned and jogged off.
David was distraught. That chain was all he had of his grandfathers. But surely the local cops would return it to him. Surely they can't be that negligent when it comes to Reggie. He chose not to go home yet, and instead meandered through the woods, not going terribly far in, but far enough that he was well out of sight from the road. He found a large rock to sit on and he stared up at the moon. He wanted to cry, he wanted to be mad, but he found himself at ease here. He closed his eyes and tried to let all his anger out, focusing on what Tammy said.
David hadn't heard anything approach, nor did he see or smell anything. But as he sat and tried to calm himself, something touched him. A pair of hands came down gently on his bared shoulders. He didn't move, he didn't scream; he barely breathed. The hands went to his sides, and then slowly to his stomach. Whoever it was, they were hugging him from behind. What made him blink was that the hands didn't feel like his. They felt more like paws, and the arms that were wrapped over his belly now, were covered in a soft fur.
He refused to look back, thinking this might be a bear about to eat him, when a very soft female voice spoke. "It's beautiful isn't it? The night sky, so full of stars, and a moon so bright it almost casts a shadow."
David blinked. "Okay," he thought. "It's furry, and now it's talking to me." He slowly turned to look at what was holding him. His heart almost leapt to his throat. A muzzle of jet black fur that housed two brilliant brownish eyes sat just above his shoulder, looking down to him. He looked down and gasped. Her front was covered in jet black fur except for a patch of white between her eyes, about the size of his hand, and in the moonlight, he could see other small patches of white on her sides, wrapping around her back. Behind her, a fluffy tail ruffled gently in the light breeze. She was almost as tall as he was. And what made the situation even more uncomfortable was that she was completely naked. He tensed and shivered a little, but the skunk blinked and swallowed.
"Please...don't be afraid. I won't hurt you, I promise." She seemed more afraid of him leaving than he seemed of her being here.
He nodded his head and swallowed, trying to get his voice to work. "I...I won't go anywhere." He couldn't help himself but to reach out to her arm, and run a hand gently up her forearm. It was real, this wasn't an illusion. She smiled at this and leaned in, rubbing noses with him.
"Thank you. I've been real lonely out here. You wouldn't believe how boring trees can be." She released the hug and sat down next to him. "Did Reggie do that?"
He looked down at himself and sighed. "He seems to like picking on me. Maybe its cause I'm..." He shook his head quickly, as if to come to his senses. "Wait, just wait a second. Never mind my shirt. No offence, but... what are you?"
The skunk seemed to smile and stood up, holding her arms and hands out, she turned around, revealing several white lines and patches all along her back, and fluffed out her tail a little. "I'm a skunk, spotted skunk to be exact. Haven't you ever seen one before?" David looked at her like she was from Mars or something to that effect.
"I've seen plenty of skunks in my life. On TV shows, in magazines. But, not one of them could stand on their back legs, talk, hug, or sport a thirty six c sized chest." The skunk giggled and sat back down.
"I hope you don't mind me being naked. I've gotten used to it out here. Nature has nothing to hide or so the old saying goes." He shuffled a little nervously. This was a lot for him to take in. The first naked girl he's been close to in his new home, happened to come with a four foot tail. She smiled and cocked her head to the side a little. "So, what's your name?"
"David. David Blackmore." He smiled up to her a little timidly. He figured that, well, he might as well make the best of it. I mean after all, how often is it that you meet a polite, yet naked female skunk? "I just moved to Manning a few weeks ago. I had no idea that the inhabitants up here were so...unique. So, if I may ask, what's your name?"
She bit her lip nervously and shuffled her furry feet in the grass a moment. "If I tell you, you have to promise me something. Promise that you won't ever tell anyone. Not your best friend, not your parents, no one. Promise?" He nodded slowly, curiosity overcoming him. She swallowed and looked to him, bracing for him to freak. "My name's...Sophie. Sophie Moran."
David's eyes nearly fell out of his head, and his jaw almost fell off his face. "You...You're one of the girls that went missing! Everyone thinks your dead!"
She shook her head, "Please David. You can't tell anyone. I don't want anyone, well, I mean, they wouldn't understand." He nodded in understanding. Even the most open minded town folk would have a hard time accepting that this girl before him was actually Sophie. She smiled, relieved. "Wanna take a walk with me?" He smiled and nodded, pulling the scraps of his shirt off and tucking part into his belt. They turned south, away from the town and meandered slowly through the peaceful expanse of woods ahead of them.
He was quiet for a while, as was she. Finally, he could wait no longer. "Sophie. What happened? I mean, why are you a skunk?" She turned and leaned on a tree as he stepped up in front of her.
"I was wondering how long it would take before you asked. Well, back when I was human and going to high school, I got picked on a lot by the head cheerleader. That girl made my life bloody miserable. I couldn't go anywhere without hearing her shout some kind of degrading insult to me."
David blinked, "Laura Heaslip?"
She frowned and then smiled a little "That's the one. I don't like to use the word bitch. But when I tell you she was a bitch. She...was...a bitch. She even had the cheerleaders throw me in a dumpster once. Then she went around all the following week, telling me how bad I stunk." David closed his eyes. He could predict some ironic karma unfolding in her story. "So, one night I walked out here to these woods. And I came across someone just like me. Well, more like they came across me. And they were male instead. I told him my story, and he told me his. He was born human too, and changed, just like I was. When he told me that, I asked him if he had the ability to change people, and he said yes. And I harped him from that night on. Every night for a week I would come visit him, and beg to be transformed. Finally, exactly five years ago this very night, he took me to his den, and changed me."
David's mind was reeling from all this. But he couldn't help but press for more. "How? I mean, how did he change you?"
Sophie bit her lip and looked down, murmuring softly "He, he slept with me."
David's eyes widened and he swallowed, blushing. That was a little more than he needed to know. Sophie smiled and rubbed a furry paw to his cheek as she pulled off the tree and kept walking. David caught up to her after regaining his composure.
"Sophie? What happened to Laura?"
Sophie smirked and let out a little giggle. "Wanna meet her?"
David blinked, and nodded slowly. He didn't think it was possible to be in even more disbelief than when he saw her for the first time. But he was wrong. Laura was alive too? Here's the town mourning these two girls, and their both still alive? Sophie led him a ways deeper into the woods, and came to a small ravine by the river. He saw a well concealed cave, and a few fallen trees around it. She made her way past the trees and into the cave, bidding her to follow. His nose picked up the remnants of skunk musk in the cave as he entered. She stopped and looked back to him.
"Please don't mind the smell. I'm sorry. I'm so used to it that it never crossed my mind to mention it."
David shook his head. "It doesn't bother me all that much. I've never really hated the smell. Just so long as I don't get any in the eyes. Apparently it burns." Sophie blinked and smiled to him, and then continued to lead him deeper. They came into her den, which held a few things of human society. A few thick blankets, some books, a few other creature comforts. Sophie looked around and chirped a couple times. In response, a spotted skunk wiggled out of a hole in the floor and toddled over to her. Sophie reached down and picked it up, turning to David.
"David, I'd like you to meet Laura. Laura, this is my new friend David."
David sat down, this was getting a little much for him to handle. "What happened to her? Why are you half skunk half human, and she's a full skunk?"
Sophie grinned. "Not just a skunk." She turned Laura over to reveal the undersides. "But a boy skunk." To which David went even paler than before. Sophie sat down with Laura and began to pet down her back. "See David, some things science just can't explain. Magic does exist in the world, ergo why I'm here, like this. Laura didn't sleep with the one who changed me. I did this to her. After my change, I wanted to get Laura back for what she did to me." David nodded, having foreseen this nearly a mile away. "So, I waited till she was out by her stables and hid. When she got close enough, I raised my tail, and sprayed her. Before she knew what hit her, she was already changing."
David couldn't believe his ears. "Talk about getting back at those you hate. Man, I wish someone would do that to Reggie." He laughed, thinking of the irony. But soon found a furry paw take his hand.
"Someone just might." He looked over to her slowly. She was sitting beside him now, looking nervously to him. "David, I've heard about your problems with Reggie. And I think it would be doing the town a big favor if, well, you know." David stroked her paw, shivering and smiling. The thought of no more Reggie was a happy one. "But, I...don't want to be the one to do it. I mean, he's not my enemy. Punishing him should be a reward to someone he's hurt."
David seemed confused. He looked down at her paw, and then up at her. "I'm not sure I follow you."
Sophie licked her lip nervously and swallowed, before looking back into his eyes. "What I'm trying to say is..." She leaned forward, and placed a gentle kiss on his lips. His eyes widened and then closed a little as his heart fluttered in his chest. She pulled back gently and stroked his cheek with her paw. "Stay here, with me tonight. Let...let me change you. So you can have your revenge on Reggie."
David blinked, his breath caught in his throat. "But...but, my parents."
Sophie shook her head slowly. "My mother knows about me. I still talk to her. She would talk to your parents and explain it all to them. And, we could visit them any time you liked. I know we just met, but I like you. And, not minding my smell goes a long way." She smiled nervously. "Please say yes."
David swallowed, and slowly looked up to her, laying a hand on her shoulder. "I'll do it." He had always wished for a simpler life. And how much more simple could an animals life be? No school, no taxes, no working for a two bit greasy hamburger joint. Just the wilderness and all it has to offer.
Sophie was overjoyed and wrapped her arms around him. They held each other for a moment before Sophie stood and took his hand, guiding him gently towards the piles of blankets. She lay down on them and smiled to him. "Don't be shy David."
David took the cue and kicked off his runners, then his socks. He slowly undid his belt and let his jeans slide down. He stood there for a moment as nerves began to make him freeze. Did he really understand what he was doing? Did he really want this? Part of him said to run while there was still time. But the rest of him wanted to lie down beside her, and feel her warm fur all across his skin. He was woken from his nervous trance as a paw gently worked its way up the inside of his leg. He looked down at Sophie, who smiled up to him.
"Let me help you with that." She slipped her paws under his boxers and slowly worked them down. He stepped out of his pants and stood before her. She smiled and took his hands, pulling him down to his knees and began kissing him passionately, pressing herself against his chest. He shivered in delight at the feeling of fur on skin. His hands roamed her back, fingers twirling in the furs softness. Gently she lay him down on the blankets and crawled over him, kissing a line from his chin, to his belly, and back up to his chin. He shivered and gasped at her every touch, finding her touch to be much more pleasant than any of his past girlfriends. She reached back, and gently held his erection and pressed herself down atop it. She paused, and looked to his eyes, looking for any sign of fear, or regret. Finding only pleasure and anticipation, she lowered down, pushing him inside her. She let out a gentle hiss through her teeth as she took him in, while David's head rolled to the side with a deep moan. Once he was secure within her, she lay down, once again going chest to chest with him and began to kiss him passionately as she began to rock her furry hips.
David felt pleasure like he had never felt before. He gasped and whispered her name as she began to kiss him. He locked his arms around her back and began to assist by pushing up in rhythm with her. Sophie gasped and looked to his eyes, and for the first time, they each saw something that they had secretly been longing, love. They began to push and rock harder, and faster. David's body felt more alive than it had ever been before. Sophie's kiss was electric, and it caused tiny tingles throughout his body. As they continued, Sophie looked to him and smiled, her eyes widening slightly. "It's starting David. You're transforming."
David couldn't see it, but tiny patches of fur had begun to sprout across his face and neck. Inch by inch the fur spread down his shoulders and chest.
"I...I can feel it. Oh god..." The fur covered his ears, which had begun to reshape and slowly, yet somehow without pain, move towards the top of his head. His shoulders were soon covered in fur, and it began to travel down his arms. "Oh Sophie, don't stop!"
She smiled and murmured, "Feels good doesn't it, love?"
"Yes, yes!" His hair had begun to recede, and his face slowly began to elongate. He could see his own muzzle growing, and watches as his nose reshape and turn a purplish pink colour. He almost chuckled as his whiskers began to push through, tickling his new muzzle. Sophie smiled and kissed his new nose and then held him tight, and rolled over.
"You're not gonna want to be on your back for this part." She smiled, knowing what was about to happen. He felt the fur on his back slowly spread downwards, like a thousand tiny fur balls racing towards his waist. The sensations only drove him to pleasure his new mate more. As the fur rolled over his waist and began down his legs, he felt a pressure build just above his ass. He winced, and heard a slight tearing sound as his tail began to push out. Sophie continued to buck under him, but encouraged him to watch as his tail grew. He turned his head and watched, amazed, as it plumed out from his back. The fur continued down his legs, and he felt his hands slowly changing. He brought one to his face and watched it reform into a paw.
"I feel, I...I feel..." His feet slowly changed as well, as the fur completely enveloped what was formerly skin. He looked down to his new mate, shivering.
"You feel...what?" She was a little nervous that he had suddenly regretted his decision. But her fears were washed away when he smiled and kissed her.
"I feel...free!" With that, he began to push into her again, letting his passions speak his appreciation to her. She gasped and held him close, tears of joy slipping from her eyes. The new couple loved each other for over an hour, before building to climactic orgasms. David fell asleep beside her that night, holding her close. He couldn't help hide the smirk on his face as he thought of Reggie's fate. He had been blessed with a new love and mate. No reason why Laura didn't deserve a mate too.
The next evening when they woke, David wondered how he could get to Reggie without anyone else seeing. But Sophie assured him that she had a way, and slipped out of bed, and told him to rest up. She slipped out of the den and headed off. David meanwhile played with Laura. He found that Laura could partially communicate with David, and was excited at the prospect of a mate. David made sure to convey that bring him a mate was going to be his pleasure. Sophie returned about an hour later, smiling like the devil.
"Nine o'clock. He's going to be out back of the hair dresser's at nine." David couldn't help but quirk a brow. What an odd place for an ambush he thought. Oh well, the where wasn't important. The mephitis lovers headed out of the den and strolled to town. They had to be carefull not to be seen as they snuck into town and towards the back of the salon. On the dumpster was a white envelope with Reggie's name on it. David smiled, and Sophie led them both behind a stack of boxes, that looked like it had been set up just recently. There they waited, and waited. David's impatience almost betrayed him, when his heart skipped a beat. In the shadows, he saw Reggie walking towards the back of the store. Vengeance was just seconds away. So close he could taste it. Reggie looked around and went for the envelope. As he did, Sophie nodded to David to move into position. David got up and silently moved out from behind the boxes. Reggie's life as a human could be counted down in seconds now. Reggie opened the envelope and read the contents.
"What the...?" The red head scratched the side of his face in confusion.
David's smile came back, sadistically. "Hey... Reggie!"
Reggie whipped around, and so did David as his tail puffed straight up. Reggie's mind couldn't comprehend what he saw enough to run, and David tensed, gritting his teeth, and let loose with an extremely pungent spray of musk, covering Reggie's face and neck. Reggie was lucky enough to close his eyes, thus not being blinded. Sophie giggled and stepped out from behind the car.
"Nice shot, love!" She pulled David into a hug, and they both turned to watch Reggie suffer his fate. Reggie had gagged so hard he began to vomit. It pleased David to no end that Reggie's final moments as a human were this unpleasant. Reggie tried to catch his breath, but then looked down at his hands horrified as they began to shrink, with tiny black fur sprouting on the palms. He turned to the couple, looking as if wanting to beg for them to stop it, but then fell forward again as pain shot through his face. His nose began to stretch forward, and the bones in his skull began to reshape harshly. Sophie kissed at David's cheek. "Oh, did I ever mention? People who get changed this way, suffer through it. It isn't like ours at all." David grinned even wider, watching as Reggie's spine seemed to snap in several places as it began to shrink. His legs cracked violently as the fur spread over them like a wave of locust. His feet shrank and reshaped while his spine snapped again, rearranging for four legged travel. Sophie walked over and pulled his clothes away, now way too big for the former all star athlete. Reggie let out a loud squeak before falling to his paws and feet. He squeaked several more times, and then with a sound like paper shredding, his tail burst through his back and grew to its full length. David smiled as he realized the squeaking was getting higher pitched. Within a few moments, Reggie's memory of who he was, was simply washed away. Now all he felt was instinct, and camaraderie with the two larger skunks nearby.
David picked Reggie up and smiled, noticing that he was in fact, very female. Sophie walked over to the pile of clothing and picked up the gold necklace from David's grandfather that Reggie had stolen the night before. She walked back over with a smile and extended her hand to him. "I believe this belongs to you, love." He laughed and pulled Sophie close, kissing her nose and nuzzling her. His happiness was changed for fear when another voice spoke up.
"Whew! Is it safe to come out?" The voice was coming from behind the door. David froze, wide eyed.
Sophie called out "Yep. All done"
David looked to her with even more shock "Sophie are you crazy?? She'll..." David's speech was cut short as Tammy stepped out of the Salon. David felt his knees knocking, but Sophie walked over and hugged her, who in turn hugged her back. Sophie looked to David, who was absolutely dumbfounded.
"David... I want you to meet my mom." Sophie giggled.
Tammy smiled to David. "Well, you turned out handsome. Thank you for accepting her. I could tell you were a good match for her."
David didn't know what to think. He looked at mother and daughter, then at himself, then at Reggie. He let out a laugh and moved over to hug them both, realizing that it was Tammy who set the trap up for Reggie.
The next day, Tammy went to David's house and sat his parents down to talk. Though they didn't believe at first, they agreed to meet with David and Sophie in the woods. After some initial shock, and mild denial, they came to accept the life their son had chosen. To this day, David's parents go camping every weekend, deep in those same woods. Laura and Reggie to this day have had two litters of kits, and Reggie is one of the most protective mothers a baby could ask for.
Sophie and David now have a son and daughter of their own. David is happier than he's ever been. He got his revenge on the bully that was plaguing him. But not because he turned that very same bully into a skunk, but because through being bullied, he stumbled across a series of events that in turn, led to his ultimate happiness.
The End
