I know that Trent found out that he was in Gareth Southgate's 22 man England World Cup squad before going to Marbella, but I'm going to change it up a bit so it can tie in with the story. ... As the 14th of June drew closer, and Liverpool had just lost their match against Real Madrid in the UEFA Champions League Final, Trent was under tremendous pressure to make it to the World Cup with England. After Showing Gareth Southgate he was much more than capable of making his way to Russia along with 21 of his England Teammates, he knew it would be such a dream. But just one week after the Champions league final in Kiev, Trent sees a video and it will impact his football career massively.
Nicki'sPOV Waking up to a sleeping Trent still surprises me, how is this human so precious. And how is it I can call him mine. "I know you are staring at me" Trent says which scares the living daylights out of me and I jump. "Jesus Trent you are subtle" I laugh. "Well I am not the one staring at someone while they sleep" he adds whilst opening his eyes and stretching. "Ahaha very funny, I just can't help it now can I" "Well I am freakishly handsome so I can't blame you to be honestly" "I'm not gonna deny that" "Well my beautiful stalker girlfriend, I am going to go and get food, since neither of us can cook" he says kissing my head whilst getting up and getting dressed.
God I love being with Trent I honestly do, but how am I gonna spend weeks and maybe a month without him if he makes it to the World Cup. I might just have to visit him, if I can get enough money. I decide that it's about time the house needs a little clean so I put on some music and get to it. After cleaning almost every room I get so into it and don't even realise that Trent has come back and is now standing recording me whilst I dance around in my pyjamas. I turn around and see him standing there, one hand filled with a bag of food and in the other hand Is his phone. "Oi stop recording meeee" I whine. "Can't help it, you got so into it" he laughed and made his way to the kitchen. "Well what did you get us" I chirped as I knew I was starving. "Well Nicki, I got us a selection, you can have waffles or pancakes with syrup or bacon and I also went to Starbucks and got us a drink" he says laying it in the table. "Well once again you win my heart with food and I think imma stick with the waffles"I say whilst hugging him.
As we sit and eat out breakfast I decide to ask Trent about the World Cup and if anyone has told him if he has made the squad. "So babe any news on the World Cup" I question and he seems surprised with my interest in the subject. "Um no none yet which means I probably haven't made the squad" he says and the atmosphere changes and I can tell he is upset. I move myself over beside him and kiss his cheek. "No I'm sure that they just haven't let anyone know yet" I smile reassuringly. "Yeah Nicki you are probably right" While we are finishing eating our breakfast I decide to text Dele and see if he has got any news. Nicki: Hey Del I was just wondering if you had heard anything about who's in the England World Cup squad? It took him no longer than 5 minutes to reply. Dele: There was a squad reveal video uploaded today, everyone who's made it got sent a link. Nicki: Oh right I'll watch it now thank you Del.
Oh god if the link was sent out to everyone who made it that must mean Trent didn't because he didn't get sent one, oh god my heart is beating so fast right now. "Hey Trent there was a squad reveal video released today" "Really, omg let's watch it" he jumps out of his seat and turns on the tv. I go to England's YouTube channel and I see it, the England squad announcement. If what Dele said was true then Trent didn't make it because he wasn't sent the link. But I do have hope, because he is an amazing footballer and would definitely benefit the team. I click on the video and cuddle into Trent, as the video goes on one after another the squad is announced. I can see Trent is nervous and biting his nails I take his hand and kiss it reassuringly. He smiles and then looks into my eyes, we kiss passionately and in the background we hear "Alexander Arnold" we break the kiss and look and each other, within 2 seconds we are jumping up and down. "Hey I'm going to call my mum and stuff" he smiles. "Okay babe, and congratulations I have never been more proud" I hug him. He pulls out his phone and goes out to the back garden and is still grinning like a child whilst phoning his friends and family telling them the news.
/40 minutes later\ After finishing phoning everyone Trent comes back in still smiling. "Hey gorgeous, Gareth called me confirming my place in the squad and talked to me, also there is a party tomorrow night for those who are going to Russia, do you wanna come with me" "Yeah of course" I reply. "Hey what's wrong" he says bringing my eyes to look into his by putting his hand on my chin. "Nothing I am so so so happy for you Trent but I will miss you so much" I reply as my eyes go glossy. "Nicki, you can come I will pay you a ticket and a hotel please, you and your dad helped me get here and I want you to come" he says and kisses my hand. "Are you sure Trent, I don't want to bother you with the tickets and all" I reply hesitantly. "Hey babe, I love you and want you to come so that's it settled I'll ask your dad and get you tickets"
After I get ready Trent and I go around to his house to see his mum and brothers, when we arrive the place has the most amazing atmosphere, Trent is welcomed with hugs and congratulations. The night is spent with us talking about how excited we are. I step into the kitchen and Tyler(Trent's brother) follows. "So what's going on with you and Trent then" he asks me. "Um what do you mean" I reply acting oblivious. "Nicki I have known you your entire life, two people don't just look at each other like that and not to mention all the body language and non stop smiling at each other every time one of you talk, now you can't say there is nothing going on" "Well um....we are....kinda....a thing Tyler.... but don't let anyone know we want to tell them in our own ti..." Before I can finish my sentence Tyler engulfs me in a hug. "Finallyyy it took you long enough, everyone has been waiting for this" "Wait everyone has been waiting" I ask "Well yeah we all knew it was coming, you guys have history" As Tyler finished his sentence Trent walks in and kisses me, as soon as he pulls away he realises we are not alone but In front of Tyler and he looks worried and scratch's the back of his neck. "It's okay he knows about us, he got it out of me" "Oh thank god that would be fun to explain" he giggles. "Nah I'm happy for you two man" Tyler says and hugs Trent after doing their brotherly handshake.
After telling Tyler about us we all gather in the living room to watch a movie, as usual I cuddle into Trent but nobody thinks anything about it because they are used to it, I mean we were always close just now we have an official title and all. I look around to see Tyler looking at us, he makes a pouty face to tease me and I shoot him a dirty look but then smile. As the movie goes on everyone goes to bed one by one leaving just Trent and I in the living room. I ask Trent can I stay and he says yeah and we go up to his room. I borrow one of his Liverpool training jumpers. Before I go to sleep I decide to text Dele again and congratulate him. Nicki: Congrats on making it in the World Cup squad Del, I'm proud🙌🏻 Dele: Awk Thank you sm Nicki means a lot💕 Nicki: Anytime, night Del. Dele: Gnight Nickiii
I really do love how close Trent and I are and I do want Dele and I to be friends. Me and Trent really do make a good couple. We cuddle up together in bed and have a conversation about Russia and how excited I am for him. While Trent is talking I try my hardest to stay awake but I drift off to the the sound of his voice. "Goodnight Nicki I love you" Trent says and with that I'm out cold.

Im so beyond proud of my boys, England made it into the World Cup Semi Finals. Harry Maguire scored the first goal and then Dele scored the second, it was amazing. The match ended 2-0 and I am so excited. It's coming home♥️🦁🦁🦁
