"You like music?" I asked quietly, brushing the tips of my fingertips against the posters pinned against his wall.
Luke rose his head from the original position of gazing into his lap. The conversation awkwardly became quiet after the mention of Ashton and it wasn't now until I spoke up. His lips seemed to lightly turn up into a smirk and he uncrossed his legs, pushing himself off of the bed.
"You know these bands?" He rubbed at his chin.
"A few." I nodded slowly, gazing over the many posters, recognising a few.
"What type of music do you like?" He asked.
Biting my lip, I continued to scan the posters. "I could be here for months explaining." I admitted, laughing at myself. "Them, in particular." I said, pointing out the Imagine Dragons posters attached to the cream coloured wall.
His face lit up in enjoyment and he eagerly nodded his over and over again. "What song's your favourite?" He blurted out.
"Call me cliché but probably Demons."
He laughed softly, shaking his head back and forth with a same light smile. "You know good music."
"You seem surprised?"
A laugh vibrated off his chest and he tried to cover it up with a smile, only increasing the size of it. He looked down with an embarrassed smile and I giggled at the sight, widely smiling up at him and he slowly looked into my eyes after the girly sound left my lips.
Luke slowly took a step closer, a footstep which caused my breath to hitch in the back of my throat. My eyes travelled from his black vans, up his slim legs and finally up into the piercing blue eyes which strangely caused my spine to create shivers and goosebumps appearing on my skin. I watched as Luke's chest rose up and then slowly fell, making my lips part as I felt myself lost in awe.
A soft heartbeat thumped in my ears, at a steady pace. I almost had myself believing that it was his, until he knocked me back into reality, softly tapping his fingertips against the same poster.
"Radioactive." He nodded to me, barely leaving our chests to separately rise and fall. "Now that's a tune. Don't even get me started on It's Time."
I shook my head, creating a confused look to flush over his face. "I've only ever heard of a few of their songs a while back, I can't really remember the lyrics."
His face automatically dropped all signs of humour and he dropped his arms back down to his sides. "Lexie." He spoke seriously.
Nervously, I looked up to him, my body on edge as I took in fact the stiffness of his body. "Lexie. You can not tell me that you have not listened to Radioactive and It's Time!" He shouted. "Some of the best songs of all time!"
I burst out into laughter as Luke quickly rummaged through his drawers, throwing back unwanted belongings until he found what he wanted, packing breaths as he hardly cracked a smile.
"You know what you need to listen to here." He quickly spoke, throwing the Imagine Dragons albums into my direction.
I caught the album suddenly in my hands, sending me falling back against the bed by the sudden speed of the throw.
"Fall out boy." He spoke quickly, chucking the hardback album behind him.
I burst into louder laughter, catching it again in my arms and carefully placing it by my side until another one was thrown into my direction, making me flinch.
"The killers." He said once I caught the album. "The best artists known to man."
"And then there's Bastille, The Cab, The Script, Keane, Panic At The Disco, Good Charlotte, Thirty Seconds To Mars, Arctic Monkeys." He rushed as a pile of albums were thrown into my direction.
