after a while
all the beautiful things became my connection to you
the cherry stained clouds
and the lightning i wanted to capture in a mason jar
and mail to your address
was where i found you
you amplified the world around me
your love for me became a magnifying glass
so that i could look closely
and see the beauty in things
that others couldn't comprehend
