Today was Saturday and I was picking Emmy up in 30 minutes. I got dressed in my best causal/formal clothes I could find in my closet.
It's not like I'm trying to impress her or her dad she hasn't seen 12 years.
THEO'S OUTFIT UP TOP
I left my house and got in my car, driving to Emmy's house. She sent me the dress last night. I arrived at her house moments later and texted her saying that I'm outside.
She came running out the house and she quickly got into my car a minute later.
"Hey." She said breathlessly.
"Hey." I said back, smiling at her. She smiled at me and I looked at what she was wearing.
"You look good." I said. She always looks good in whatever she wears honestly.
She looked me up and down and I blushed a little. "You too." She said.
EMMY'S OUTFIT UP TOP
We were headed to a little cafe that was at the edge of town. It took 20 minutes to get there.
When we arrived I parked the car and looked at Emmy. She was playing with her fingers and she was mumbling words I couldn't hear.
She was nervous and I can see it.
"Hey." I said, placing my hand on her shoulder. She looked at me and I gave her a reassuring smile.
"Everything is going to be ok. I'm here with you." I said.
She nodded. "Thank you." She said.
"Stop thanking me, it's no problem." I said.
She nodded. "Ok, let's go."
We got out the car and walked into the restaurant. There were a couple of families and couples, but what stood out to me the most was a man who looked to be about in his mid-thirties.
That may be her dad.
"You have a reservation?" The lady said who worked here asked Emmy.
