Chapter 21 - Innocent

When the officer came, Emmy started shaking and she just ran out the station. I looked at her dad the same time he looked at me. We ran after her and when we got outside, we saw he across the road sitting down with her knees against her chest. 

We walked up to her and a crouch down to be on her level. "Emmy, what happened back there?" I asked her.

She shook her head. "Him, and 2 other guys and Stephen...2 weeks ago, the reason I didn't go to school was because they...Gang banged me and I was ashamed and I felt dirty. Officer John was one of the guys." She said.

My hands curled into fists. How can anyone do that to her? Yeah, I know that she's sexy ad beautiful, but they have no right to do that to her.

"They recorded everything and I don't know what they wanted to do with it. I have the video." She said, sniffing.

"How did you get the video?" Daniel asked. He was calm, but his eyes held anger and sadness.

"One of the guys, Dean, left his phone and I sent it to myself." She said.

Daniel shook his head. "Let's go back inside. Forget his scrawny ass and don't let him get to you. We'll talk to the chief officer about this." He said. 

Emmy nodded and I wiped the tears off her face. I grabbed her hand and she got up.

When we went back inside, we see a man standing there next to John.

I glared at John. 

"That's Stephen." Emmy whispering. She stood behind me.

"So what are your doing here, Emerald?" Stephen said. I stood in between them both.

"Go away." Daniel said, glaring at him. 

"And who are you?" Stephen said, rolling his eyes.

"I'm her father and your going to jail and so are you, officer." Daniel said, putting his arm out in front of me and standing in front of me also.

"H-her father?" Stephen stuttered. 

"Yes, her dad." Daniel said. "I'll like to talk to the chief officer. Officer John is apart of this problem." He said, looking at Katie, the front desk lady.

She nodded and called the Chief in. He walked into the foyer a minute later.

"What's going on here?" He asked.

"Can we all talk in private?" Daniel asked.

"Follow me." The Chief said. 

We all followed him into a room with a long brown table with chairs around them. Conference room I think. 

We all sat down and Chief looked at Daniel. 

"So what's the problem?" He asked.

"I think my daughter should explain." He said.

Chief looked at Emmy, nodding for her to start talking.

"Him." She said, pointing at Stephen. "He's been physically and sexually abusing me for the past 5 years." Emmy said, taking in a deep breath. 

I grabbed my hand and intertwined our fingers together. I rubbed circles on her hand with my thumb. This must've been hard for her and I wanted her to know that I will always be here for her. No matter what. 

"And him, Officer John. Him and Stephen and 2 other men gang banged me 2 weeks ago." Emmy said, crossing her arms over her chest.

"How can you accuse me of doing that?!" John yelled, standing up.

Emmy stood up and glared at him. "You shut up and stop lying. I have the video so don't try to act like an innocent person when your not." She said, sitting back down. John tried walking out the room, but the Chief yelled at him.

"You get your ass here Keli!" He yelled. 

John Keli, guessing that's his last name, sat back down.

Emmy got her phone out and gave it to the officer. The room was silent and the only voices were from the video that was playing. 

"Stop! Please!" 

"You like it, huh."

"You little whore."

Cries, cries, and more cries.

"Please!"

"Stop!"

"We're still not done with you slut."

*slap*

My shut my eyes tightly and bit my lip. I was angry. Furious. I wanted to kill all of them.

The chief shook his head and gave her back the phone. 

"John, Stephen, we're taking this to court and I know damn well your loosing your license Keli." 

Daniel nodded and stood up. He clapped his hands. "You men are a disgrace." He said.

"We'll get a warrant to check the house." The Chief said.

We all nodded. 

"I'm Phillip by the way." The chief said. We all shook his hand and thanked him.

When we left the station, Emmy suddenly pulled both Daniel and I into a hug. 

"Thank you." She said. 

"You don't have to thank us." I said.

"It was the right thing to do and now that I'm here I want to spend time with you." Daniel said. 

We all pulled apart. 

"That sounds great, but can we hang after this whole thing is over?" Emmy said.

Daniel nodded. "Of course, anything for you." He said.

Emmy nodded. "Ok, let's go. I'll drop you off at your place Theo along with you Emmy since your staying at his place." Daniel said.

We nodded and got into the car. I quickly texted my mom that Emmy had to stay with us and she was said it was fine.

Duh, she freaking loves her.

"Thanks." I said to Daniel. 

Emmy smiled and leaned towards Daniel through the little opening between the two front seats and gave him a side hug. 

"Thanks, dad." Emmy said. 

"Anytime, daughter." Daniel said. Emmy laughed and I let out a chuckle.  

We got out the car and went inside my house. Right when we stepped foot, my mom came out of no where and engulfed Emmy in a hug. My dad came in too and gave her a hug too along with my mom.

"I'm so happy to see you!" My mom exclaimed. 

"We missed you actually." My dad said.

"Thanks." I said, sarcastically.

"We see you everyday, but I barely see Emerald and I missed having a girl around." My mom said. "I know you are staying over. I don't know what's going on, but it doesn't matter. We can have a slumber party. and we can watch chik-flick movie and cry like the pussies we are. So much fun!" My mom rambled.

My.

God.

"My wife is crazy. I'm sorry Emerald." My dad said.

Emmy laughed. "It's ok. I never had a slumber party before. I bet it will be fun." She said.

"It sure will!" My mom exclaimed.
