(maze runner)

also heads up for you this is a girl x girl :P

Your POV:

A few weeks ago another girl came up in the box, and ever since, I've been going crazy. The boy-girl ratio here is like 7:1 so my options are pretty limited.

Anyway, I've been noticing she's been hanging around Thomas a lot. Every time Thomas and I get back from the maze he'd always greet her first. I'm not that overprotective little sister or anything, but I am a little interested.

One day I decided to ask Thomas about it while we stopped at a corner for food.

"Hey, Tom-Tom, can I ask you something?" I asked him as I sat criss-cross in front of him.

"Y/n, did you break something again? You need to learn to take the blame yoursel—" I sighed and cut him off.

"First of all, I do take responsibility for my actions. Most of the time. But I was gonna ask about Teresa," I said, flicking a pebble in front of me.

"What about her?" I could sense Thomas found interest in this topic.

"I don't know. Like, how's she adjusting?" I started off.

"Pretty well, actually. She's really smart and funny," he smiled to himself.

"Do you like her?" I wiggled my eyebrows.

"Huh? Uh, I'm not sure to be honest. Why so interested, y/n?" I never told Thomas about the fact that I was into girls. I mean, Newt and Fry know, but that's about it.

"No reason. I'm just looking out for you, big bro," I laughed.

"Aww thanks, y/n, but honestly she's just a pretty good friend," he shrugged,

"You two are adorable. Now let's go," I looked up and saw Minho rolling those Asian eyes of his.

We laughed and continued on our way.

-

"Hey, Thomas!" Was what I heard as we all entered the glade. I looked to my right and saw Teresa jog up to him.

"Hey, Teresa. I wanted you to meet y/n," Thomas then looked at me. I blushed furiously and looked down.

"It's nice to meet you," Teresa said softly and I smiled at her. I was in awe of the picture in front of me.

I mean sure I've seen Teresa a couple of times from a distance, but the box doesn't count. She was literally unconscious in a pit.

She was taller than me by just a few inches. Her hair was a beautiful charcoal black that complimented her pale skin. The sunset really helped make her face glow and highlight her icy blue eyes.

"How are you doing so far?" I asked her.

"I mean I'm doing fine," she smiled," but are there usually this many boys?" I laughed at her comment.

"Yeah, finding the nice ones are kind of difficult. Thomas isn't one of them," I whispered the last part to her.

"Hey!" Thomas laughed and smacked my shoulder.

I walked with Teresa to the pit where everyone was, having a bonfire for the newbie that came up today.

"It feels nice not being the newest one here anymore," Teresa sighed. We were sitting on a log by the fire, each with a drink from Gally. I refuse to drink it, but I look cool just holding it.

"I remember when I came up from the box. Thomas and I came up together and I remember being so scared, but Thomas was there to comfort me even though he was scared too." I said, swirling around my drink with my finger.

"Wait, are you and Thomas..." she furrowed her eyebrows, trying to figure something out.

"Siblings! Thomas is my brother," I laughed, hoping she didn't get the wrong idea that we were a thing.

"Oh, that makes way more sense," Teresa chuckled, sort of embarrassed. "So does that mean you're single?" She sounded sort of hesitant asking, but that made my heart flutter even more.

I smiled at her and giggled. "You're cute when you're shy," I winked at her. "But I am," I smiled.

I realized that during our conversation we were physically getting closer. For a moment we just kept looking into each others eyes. Hers was a beautiful grey now, with the reflection and glow from the fire.

Without thinking I pushed my head forward and planted a kiss on her lips. I pulled back quickly realizing what I had done. Theresa's eyes widened and she noticeably started to blush.

"I-I'm so sorry!" I squeaked, not knowing what to do next. All her response was, was giving me a short kiss back.

"Y/n?!" My head snapped to Thomas, who was standing in front of us, mouth ajar.

"Tom-Tom... hey..." I didn't know what to do! Was he homophobic? Was he hurt I didn't tell him? I don't know, boys are so complicated.

I expected him to run off or something, like he normally does, but instead he put a hand on his chest.

"My little sis is so grown up," he fake weeped. I let out a breath of relief and laughed.
