Your POV

"Thanks, y/n," I watched Winston leave after I had bandaged him up. Apparently he had an incident with some of the livestalk.

I was putting back the supplies I used, when I heard the creaking of the door. I turned around and to my surprise I saw my little brother Chuck. He was covered in mud and small, scattered scratched.

"Chuck! What happened?" I quickly rushed over to him to see if he had any serious injuries.

He tried swatting my hand away."I'm fine, y/n, I just need something to get this clunk off me," he groaned.

He was going to sit down one of the cots, but I stopped him. "Yeah... just stand here so we don't get these dirty," I laughed. I went to the cabinet to get a towel. "Chuck, what happened?" I then realized he never answered my question.

"I said I'm fine. A couple of the other gladers and I were just messing around in the deadheads and I didn't see the down-hill... now here I am," he answered quickly. I handed him a damp cloth and sat down across from where he stood.

"Chuck," I cocked an eyebrow, knowing that wasn't the truth.

He groaned and sat down, not caring about getting the cot dirty. "Y/n, you don't need to keep being so overprotective. I can handle things on my own," with that, Chuck took the cloth and left.

Ever since Chuck came up, of course I was overprotective. He came a month after me, and he was so scared. Aside from my name, the other memory I had was that I had a brother. Chuck.

Since then I swore to keep him safe until we find a way out. Until now he's never been against me trying to help him out. I decided to go out and find him. I looked around the glade but there was no sign of Chuck.

How could he possible have gotten so far? He literally just left...

"Hey, Alby?" I asked after running into him at Homestead. "Have you seen Chuck?"

"Yeah I saw him run into the deadheads," he replied, pointing the forest. "He seemed pretty roughed up. Everything okay?"

I nodded, "It's probably just puberty," I chuckled awkwardly, then ran after my little brother.

"Chuck?" I called out as a waved through the trees, looking for him. All of a sudden I heard a quiet conversation somewhere in the distance.

"What? Did you go tattle to your sister, Chuck?" Oh my god it was Andrew, one of Gally's friends. He was around Chuck's age but a little older.

"What? No!" I turned the corner and heard Chuck scoff.

"You know, whatever. That's what you get for not doing what I said. The rest of the week just do my part of the job, Slopper, or else you'll get much worse," Andrew laughed and pushed Chuck back causing him to stumble to the ground.

That was it for me. I ran in their direction and turned to Chuck first. I gave him a hand which he hesitantly took, in shock.

"Y/n?" He shook his head and looked at me.

"So you did tell your big sissy, huh, Chuckster?" Andrew smirked. I rolled my eyes and turned to him.

Not caring, I shoved Andrew the way he did to Chuck, but much harder, causing him to grown in pain.

"What the hell!" With that, Andrew ran out of the deadheads to who knows where.

"Y/n, why'd you do that?" Chuck mumbled.

I gave him a small smile. "Because we're family, and family looks out for each other. We're all each other has and I'm sorry if I worry about you, but that's my job," I put a hand in his shoulder.

Chuck and I walked back to the glade so I could finish helping him clean off the dirt he still had on him.

"Y/n," I heard Alby's voice call. I turned around to see Newt and Alby walking up to me, Andrew following behind.

What did that little snitch do?

"So Andrew told us you assaulted him in the woods," Newt started off. I scoffed and narrowed my eyes at Andrew.

"Assaulted? I didn't do anything like that! I mean, I'll admit I did push him, but he was threatening Chuck to do his work or else he'd beat him up!" I waved my hands in the air.

"Andrew, is that true?" Alby turns to the guilty boy.

"I-I mean Chuck and I made a deal and he didn't do his part," Andrew tried to reason with him.

"Andrew, three nights in the slammer for attempting to abandon your duties and for threatening to harm another glader," Alby signaled Newt to take Andrew to the pit, and the two of them left, leaving me, Alby, and Chuck.

Then Alby turned to me, "I'm glad you were looking after Chuck, y/n, but you did scratch Andrew up a bit, there was some blood," Alby started, and I nodded my head. "Just a night in the slammer for you to cool down," he sighed.

"Y/n?" I look up from my wooden pit of a cell, to see an approaching light.

I smiled, knowing exactly who it was. "Hey, Chuckles," I smiled, seeing the curly headed boy look through the bars.

"It's late, what are you doing here?" I ask him, realizing he should be getting his eight hours of sleep.

He hesitated for a second before responding. "I wanted to say thanks for standing up for me... and sorry for being so stubborn," he blushed.

"I'll always stand up for you, Chuck. We're the best team there is," I smile at him.

Aww I wish I had a sibling haha
