A Vampire's Wish

Chapter ten

"Tails!" Sonic screamed out of joy and ran over the fox, hugging him so hard that Tails could barely breathe.

"S-Sonic...?" Tails stuttered, hugging the hedgehog back.

"How long-?" Sonic looked at Tails, breaking the hug. "It's a long story.."

"Not to break it to you guys, but the soldiers from the castle is coming back!" Cream shouted from a tree, giving her a good view over the forest.

"Wait, the old castle that no one likes? Why-?" Sonic asked, confused.

"We'll explain later, right now we need to get a move-on!" Tails climbed up the tree and picked up Cream, then flying back down on the ground to Sonic.

"Right, follow me!" Sonic waved them to him as he started running. Tails right behind him.

"You able to catch up bud?" Sonic asked as he looked behind him, not able to see him. "Huh?"

"What did you say?" A voice in front og him spoke, revealng Tails running beside Sonic. "Pfft, this isn't even a challenge" Tails chuckled.

"Right..." A tear dropped from Sonic's forehead, remembering that Tails is a vampire.

"Guys, please..." Cream mumbled and sighed, making both of them to chuckle. "Sorry Cream"

"Are you sure we can be safe here?" Sonic asked Cream as they closed the door behind them.

"For now, hopefully" She answered, walking towards the living room. Tails started walking around the house, making his way into the kitchen.

"I don't remember this place looked so tiny, but I haven't been here for te- woah!" Tails quickly ducked away, almost to be met face to face with a frying pan.

"Tails?" Sonic walked to the kitchen and looked at Tails on the floor. "Comfortable there bu-"

"Who are you? and what are you doing in my house?!" A woman shouted out in question.

"Mom?" Cream walked into the kitchen to see her mom standing with the frying pan and Tails on the ground with his hand out.

"C-Cream? Oh dear Chaos!" Vanilla dropped the frying pan and hugged her daughter close. Small tears dropping from her eyes.

"Oh sweety, where have you been?" She asked, worriedly holding Cream's shoulders.

"Well..." Cream looked back at Tails who is brushing his hoodie.

"I... We... It's a long story..." Cream giggled a little to herself, only imagening telling her mom what have happened for the past days is... going to be confusing and overwhelming for her.

"Well, at least you are home" Vanilla smiled. "But still, who is that?" She pointed at Tails who looked back, this time she noticed his eyes. "W-wha- H-he is a v-v-"

"Woah, Vanilla chill" Sonic walked over to her. "Don't you see it? It's Tails" Sonic brought Tails into the light so that Vanilla could see him properly. "O-oh dear...

'Poor Vanilla, she doesn't understand anything..'

"Cream? Maybe we should tell your mom the whole story..." Tails looked at her, and Cream nodded in agreement.

After a very long explanation, Vanilla eventually began understanding what is going on and what Cream have been through. "Oh my, I am so happy that you are ok Cream..." Vanilla held her daugher close. 

Sonic and Tails smiled "What about the vampires that are captured? Shouldn't we do something about it?" Sonic asked. "Can you read my mind?" Tails chuckled.
