A Vampire's Wish

Chapter five

'Tails is alive and safe'

That's what Cream have been telling herself since the very beginning of his disappearance. It turns out that it's true, in a way, but not completely though. He has been bitten by a vampire and now he is one himself. Cream takes a deep breath before letting it out in a sigh. She have been staring up at the ceiling for at least an hour or two, thinking about what happened.

It is honestly a lot to take in. Tails isn't who he used to be; Confident, clever, jokingly, always a happy smile, but serious. Now, Cream saw none of those in him when she looked in his eyes. They seemed dark, lost, confused, but strong within. 'He must have been through a lot to change that badly...'

A distant ache hurt her heart. 'He have been alone for ten years...'

Realizing that in the middle of the night, Cream started to picture herself in Tails' shoes. 'I would have gone crazy if I didn't have contact with someone for so long...'

'Of course he is this way, he have only been with himself, he must have built his own personality because of it'

The next morning, Cream could barely stay awake. She have been overthinking all night long, which ruined her bedtime. Cream reached up and rubbed her eyes for the fifth time this morning as she walked towards her school.

"Morning Cre- wow. You look tired" A blue hedgehog screeched in front of her, Cream is so tired that she didn't even react. "You don't say..."

As Cream and Sonic reached the school entrance, Sonic got runned over by a very familiar pink hedgehog, Amy. "Sonikku! Good morning sweetheart~" She smiled at him with sugar sweet eyes. Cream continued to walk inside. Her little "talk" with Amy yesterday sticks to her memory like glue. The last thing Cream wants to now, is a fight with Amy.

But even as Cream walked inside, not minding others bussiness, she still felt Amy's eyes burn in her neck. 'What does she want? Sonic is the one who comes to me... and he just walks me to and home from school'

As class started, Cream somehow started to feel very uncomfortable, it is chilling.

Not paying much attention in class, she did see something change. People moved their heads and hands very slowly, too slow.

A cold shiver ran down Cream's spine as she sees time slow down. The same thing happened back in the forest when Tails arrived. 'But Tails isn't here, right?'

The classroom slid into a hush, nothing and no one moved. It's like time froze itself, but Cream could move freely. She slowly turned her head to see anyone else make a move, one did. Cream stiffened, she couldn't recognize the person who looked at her, but he looked terrifyingly alike to someone she have seen before. His eyes blood red. 'Oh no...' 

He looked at her with delight, just a desk away from her. A devilish smirk on his face, before he turned around to look at the blackboard and time started again. 'There is a vampire at school, and no one knows'

Cream remembered that her blood type is some kind of delight for vampires. It's like candy or a rare dish. Disgusting really, but vampires will do what they want to get it. She gulped, the vampire is after her, but he won't be able to get to her if she is constantly surrounded by people. Which means that Cream needs to stay around people for the rest of the day, including asking Sonic to walk her home, but he is constantly with Amy, who is pissed at her. 'Awh man, this will be fun...'

After class ended and Cream already felt his eyes stare at her. She needed to get out of this classroom as fast as possible! Cream quickly grabbed her bag and held her books, following the crowd outside. 'This is going to be a stressful six hours...'
