A Vampire's Wish

Chapter twelve

Amy, Knuckles, Silver, Blaze and Rouge all ran their way towards the trio. "Guys!" Sonic shouted in happiness as he ran in circles around them, making them all laugh including Cream and Tails.

Amy turned out to be the first one giving Cream a hug.

"Oh Cream! You had me so worried girl!" She nuzzled her friend close, Cream looked way too surprised, but also worried, but before she could ask;

"I am so sorry for everything I have told you, said to you, called you! I-I misunderstood everything, I overreacted-" Amy shook her head, looking at Cream with tears in her eyes. Cream hugged Amy back, making her stop apologizing. "I forgive you Amy" Cream smiled.

"Where have you two been?" A soft voice spoke, Blaze looked at Sonic. "You can say we were busy, heh" Sonic answered, rubbing the back of his head.

By the time everyone are now talking and exchanged happiness with Cream and Sonic, Tails felt everyone's joy, but he felt somehow lonely. Everyone ran straight to Sonic and Cream. 'Have they even seen me?' His chest aching. 'It's like I am not even here..' Tails thought, his ears slowly lowering down to his head. He couldn't bare watching his friends laugh and have fun, so he turned around, slowly walking away from the scenery.

He have brought his friends back to safety, that's all that matters.

"Tails? Where are you going?" A sweet voice spoke, making his ears slowly go a little up, turning his head around. Cream isn't the only one looking at him now. "Wait, Tails? Is it really you?" Knuckles asked, walking towards him.

He couldn't manage to get any word out of his mouth as Knuckles looked at him, he felt a huge amount of memories overflow him. He started to remember more and more about him, but not only Knuckles. He looked at Blaze, Silver, Rouge and Amy. They all reminded him of some kind of memory. All of them being together. 

"Yeah... It's me" Tails finally said, they all looked shocked. 'I understand them, I have been gone for ten years...'

"Tails, y-you are alive?!" Amy suddenly ran towards him, giving him a large hug. The impact of Amy jumping on him made him almost loose his ground. "A-Amy..?" Tails' emotions came back.

Amy remembered him! She still cares!

He hugged Amy back, letting joy take over him. He heard everyone alse run towards them, hugging Tails and hitting his back friendly. Questions surrounded him, but he heard they were full of happiness.

"You have no idea how worried we were you- you dork!" Amy sniffed, drying her tears. Tails chuckled, letting Amy go from the hug.

"Oh yeah, uh guys. There might be something you should know about Tails.." Sonic chuckled a little nervously. "What do you mean Sonic? He looks fine to- oh woah! What's going on with your eyes!?" Silver reacted before Sonic could finish.

Sonic pointed at Tails. "Yeah, that. He isn't just Tails anymore. He is also a vampire" By the time Sonic said the last word, everyone went quiet. "You are a what?! How??" Rouge exclaimed.

"Yeah, what Sonic said... It's not like I wanted to be one in the first place..." Tails looked down, not wanting to meet the shocked expressions of his friends.

"Wait, is this why you suddenly disappeared?" Blaze asked, putting a hand on his shoulder. By Blaze's warming hand, he felt the urge to tell them.

"Yes. The moment I knew, I ran away. Out of sight. I learned more and more about myself and I knew I could end up hurting someone..." Tails met everyones eyes. "I didn't want to become a bloodthirsty monster like the other vampires, I never wanted to run away from the ones I love. But I had to! Or else I would end up hurting one of you... I already hurt Sonic..." Tails faced the ground, a tear running down from his eye.
