first day of our new life

Once they arrived at Jackson's house Daniel said his goodbyes and left. Jackson and Enzo went up to the door and rang the doorbell. Nobody answered so Jackson started digging in a potted plant on the porch next to the door. He pulled out a key and opened the door. They walked into a fairly large living room with white furniture and large TV. There are shelves that look filled with both books and vinyl records. Next to the stairs and down a small hallway is the entrances to the bathroom and kitchen. Through the kitchen there is another set of stairs, they went up the stairs. Once they reach the top Jackson explains that one door is his room and the other is his parents room. The boys went into Jackson's room and set their stuff down. Enzo anxiously asked Jackson where he'd be sleeping and Jackson told him he gets to pick either the couch or in Jacksons room with him. Enzo just layed down on Jackson's bed and looked up at him sheepishly. Jackson smiled and laid down next to Enzo and curled up in his side. They fell asleep peacefully in each other's arms. Jackson woke to the sound of knocking on his door. He looked up at his mom standing in his doorway looking at him and Enzo in a proud and happy way. Jacksons mom quietly asked him if he would introduce the cute boy in his bed. Jackson smiled and woke Enzo. Enzo looked around sleepily and saw Mrs.Carter. Enzo sat up, but kinda shuffled behind Jackson, and said hello. Jackson introduced his mother to Enzo. She walked over to Enzo as he sat on the edge of the bed and hugged him. She told him that everything will be okay and that he won't have to worry anymore. Then she looked over at Jackson and pulled him into the hug. Then she stood up and told them she must be off, she had to go grocery shopping. She explained to them she stopped by to see them because she knew they'd be home by then. As she was leaving she told the boys they have free rein of the house but can't leave till Jackson's father got back. Jackson and Enzo agreed that they both had enough adventure for awhile, even though almost all of it was amazing. They followed Mrs.Carter to the front door and told her their goodbyes. Enzo layed down on the white couch while Jackson went into the kitchen to get snacks. Jackson came back with sodas, chips, and a little box of random snacks. He set all that down by Enzo and grabbed the TV remote. He asks Enzo what movie he wants and Enzo tells him anything where words don't matter. Jackson decided to put on Fantasia collection of disney clips that don't have dialogue but tons of music. The boys laid together and ate their snacks while watching the movie. Jackson suddenly heard his phone go off from the kitchen where he set it down. In case it was his mom who texted Jackson went into the kitchen and got his phone. He layed back down and told Enzo his father was gonna be home late. Enzo asked jackson what he wanted to do in the meantime. Jackson proposed 20 questions. Enzo agreed.

J: what skill would you wanna master?

E: Is reading an option?

J:i guess it's an acceptable answer. Okay now you ask a question.

E: Okay ummm, what is your favorite food?

J: Taco. Okay what is your favorite color?

E: Emerald green, what is your favorite memory?

J: Well meeting you but besides that id say meeting a friend of mine , Lucus.

E: Who's that?

J: He's my best friend. I've known him for a while.

E: Can I meet him?

J: Well of course. Wanna see if he can come over now?

E: Yes please.

J: Okay I'll text dad then him.

Jackson asked his dad to make sure company was okay. His dad told him it was fine but they couldn't leave the house. Then Jackson called lucas and told him to come over for a surprise. Enzo worried Lucas wouldn't like him but Jackson assured him that he was confident Lucas would love Enzo, but not as much as he does. Lucas arrived and Jackson brought him in. Jackson's friend noticed Enzo and asked who he is. Jackson called for Enzo to come meet Lucas. Enzo and Lucas started to shake hands while Jackson said "This is Enzo, my boyfriend. Immediately Lucas pulled his hand away. All Lucas could say is "You're...gay?". Jackson gave a brief explanation of the last few days and his soulmate. Lucas just looked Jackson in the eyes and in rage told him that he can't be friends with a f*ggot. As Lucas was speeding out the door Jackson started to fall. Luckily Enzo catches him, and just holds him close. Thirty minutes had past before either boy said a word, Enzo broke the silence by saying, "Would you like a drink Love?" Jackson looked up at his soulmate, even though he had just cried his eyes out and his eyes looked like he just smoked a joint, the was blushing at the pet name. Jackson slowly nodded his head, and sat up a little so Enzo could get him a drink. Jackson was asking himself, "Was being gay that bad?", he started tearing up again but he was interrupted by the sound of Enzo asking for help. Enzo didn't know where anything was in the house yet. In that moment is when Jackson realized that he loved Enzo, because even though he was at his worst Enzo made him happy. "Does he love me back?" both boys thought.
