No Ones POV
She ran, ran faster than the wind could take her, she screamed her best friends name through the thunder, through the lightning, she couldn't lose her, she was all she had, and if she was gone, it would be her fault, she would live with guilt all her life, the only sound that replied back to her was the sound of heavy rain drops hitting the ground. She was crying, no, sobbing her eyes out hoping her friend would answer her yells and cries, hoping to see her friend coming to comfort her, telling her she was ok, she wanted to here her friends laugh again, her voice, it was all she had, she didn't want to lose her, she searched and searched, it was pitch black, she could barley see, only thing she heard was the sound of rain drops as she fell to the floor sobbing for her best friend to come back, ignoring the billions of calls she was getting from her parents, she started walking with her hood on, ignoring the glances of the people who walked in the rain in the dark on a daily basis, she looked at one, she saw something in their eyes as the stranger looked at her back, she saw, pity in their eyes, she saw the stranger looking at her with empathy, they saw right threw her, like they knew her life story, how awful it was, and how awful it is to lose someone, how it felt to be bullied and pretend it didn't matter, how hard it was to be strong for the ones you love even though you just wanna curl up in a ball and cry, cry until you can't cry anymore tears, cry until it's all good again, cry until someone comforts you, cry until you're...gone. The stranger knew. She looked away, she didn't want to face them anymore, but when she looked back, they were gone. She looked back down and continued to sob as she walked down an alley. She wondered who the stranger who seemed to know more than she knew herself could have been, but didn't think much of it. She sat against the wall behind some trash cans in the alley, she wrapped her arms around her knees and cried. She looked down, and when she looked up again, it was day. She failed. She failed her friend. She couldn't find her. If she didn't tell her to throw that stupid note she would have been there, next to her, comforting her friend, saying it would be okay, saying that in the end it will be good, saying that one day they will be each other's maid of honor at their weddings, saying they will grow up together like sisters, even though they practically already were. Nataline didn't know how much she meant to Paris, and didn't know how much she wanted them to be each other's maids of honor, Nataline didn't know, and now she might be gone. After a while of these thoughts rushing through her head she got up from the alley, she started to walk, she didn't know where, not home, not the school, she just walked. Walked as far as her legs could take her, she would eventually go home, and she knew she would. But she didn't want to yet. She didn't want to go home without Nataline beside her. She walked, and walked, she knew Nataline wasn't gone, she could feel it, she knew that she was out there somewhere, she made this mess and she was going to fix it. She wasn't sad anymore, she was angry, angry that she couldn't protect her, angry she couldn't find her, she was angry at someone, her self, but there was someone else, Nataline wouldn't just run off like that, she wouldn't, ever. She knew someone forced her into making that call to her parents, and she knew someone took her, but I knew that the person didn't kill her. She was sure of who it was, but wasn't sure who the person who hid in the black hood was. Anon. Anon. Anon. Anon. She repeated the name to her self, thousands of times, Anon took her, maybe Anon was Madison? But Madison wouldn't do such a thing, would she? Paris didn't want to jump to conclusions so quick, she was going to find out who it was, and was going to get her friend back, she knew the games this Anon played already, she knew what to expect, she knew he wouldn't kill her, at least not yet. Because this Anon knows, dying is much better than torture, they knew that, so they wouldn't kill her so quickly. She was now in a forest, not to far from her neighborhood, she assumed her parents reported her and Nataline missing, she decided to start walking back, back to the place she used to call home, but it wasn't a home without Nataline, even if she didn't live in her house, she just made Paris's day. She was her only friend, she wasn't losing her only friend just yet. She managed to get home without people noticing, as she walked in, she saw her moms eyes fill with tears, and hugged her, her mom called her dad down and he did the same. They were so happy their baby was okay. They asked where she went, and she simply replied with "I needed to get my mind off of things.." she was broken and her parents understood, they told her to wash up as her mom made dinner, she did just that and walked into her bathroom, she took a warm bath, she cleared her head and sighed, how did this all happen? And what did Anon want? Just saying the unknowns name sent shivers down her spine, she told her self that it would be okay in the end, but deep down she knew the end wasn't even close to her yet. She knew what was to come, and she just sat there, staring at...nothing, she didn't realize she was crying until she felt her tears drop into the bath water with a small plop. After about 20 minutes in the bath with just thoughts rushing threw her head, she decided it was time to have an actual shower, so she turned on the water of her shower as she opened the drain so the water would go down to the sewers, she massaged the shampoo in her hair gently, and washed it out, she put her conditioner at the tips of her hair, and then scrubbed her body with soap, she washed out the conditioner from her hair and rinsed off the soap, when she was finished she dried off with her bath robe and changed into her pajamas, it was pitch black when she looked out her window, she walked down the stairs to see a table full of food, she smiled gently as she remembered she still had her parents, she sat down and ate, her thoughts washed away with her parents as they talked like nothing was wrong, it was a nice feeling for all of them. They enjoyed each other's company. When her and her family finished, she helped with cleaning the dishes and table, she headed to bed as she thought about what she would do, especially when there was
school tomorrow...To be continued...
