CHAPTER 3- Kiss

Demi's POV

I paced around the living room anxiously, it's 6:58 and my nerves are on high alert. He said it was a fancy place, so I wore a black, knee length dress with stiletto heels. He's a good foot taller than me, so I'm not worried about the height at all. Suddenly, a knock on the door sounded and my heart began to beat faster. Taking a deep breath, I pulled it open.

Jake was standing outside wearing a simple black suit with no tie and a white button up, he was also carrying a single red rose. He peered up and smiled, before his eyes trailed down my body. For some reason, I didn't feel like crossing my arms over my chest or hiding. I felt sexy.

"Demi... You look beautiful." I smiled and tucked a piece of hair behind my ear.

"Thanks.... You're not too bad yourself."

He smiled and held out the rose, "For you."

This time, I blushed when I took it. "Thank you! That's so sweet!"

Jake laughed, "Alright c'mon we have reservations at seven thirty. Shall we?" He held out his arm at the last part and spoke in a posh accent.

I smiled, "We shall."

Jake took me to 'Lombardie's on the Pier.' An Italian restaurant that was perched right along the Santa Monica pier. We were seating the second we walked in.

"Mr. Marcelli, and his lovely lady, we are pleased to have you here. the chef will be right out to explain his specials." Jake nodded at the waiter and he bowed away.

"Woah, is it always like this?"

He shrugged, "When you're the owner's nephew you kind of get used to it."

I cocked an eyebrow. "Trying to impress me?"

His expression mimicked mine.

"Only if it's working."

The rest of the night was spent talking. The topics were never ending and every now and then Jake would smile and whisper how beautiful I looked, I felt like I was flying.

Jake drove me home around eleven and walked me to the door.

"I had a really great time tonight." He said, smiling sheepishly, scratching his neck.

I knew it was going to get really awkward so I leaned forward and planted a kiss on his lips,

"Me too."

Then, I walked into the house. Two seconds later, my phone buzzed.

From; Jake Marcelli

We're doing this all wrong... Isn't the guy supposed to kiss the pretty girl?"

I let out a loud laugh and pulled the door back open. Jake was waiting for me, and suddenly I was whirling through the air as he dramatically dipped me and kissed me.

And I never wanted him to stop.
