CHAPTER 4- I'll be Waiting.
Demi's POV
The next morning there was a knock on my door. Without looking, I pulled it open.
"Hermosa." Immediately, I froze.
"Wilmer. Get out."
He shook his head and stepped forward, "Please baby, I'm sorry that girl meant nothing to me."
I shook my head, "Wilmer I'm serious get out."
Wilmer took a step into the house, "Not until you forgive me."
I opened my mouth to reject him again but another voice spoke before I could.
"I think she means now." Wilmer turned to see Jake standing in the doorway, his size and height drastic to Wilmer's.
"Who's this?" Wilmer replied angrily.
"A friend." Jake's deep voice was intimidating, and showing obvious threats. "Now get out or i'll make you."
I could tell Wilmer was weighing his options, so I took a moment to examine Jake. He was wearing a tight black t-shirt, with dark jeans and black boots. Also, he was carrying a shopping bag with a huge smiley face on it. The contrast made me giggled, but I quickly disguised it as a cough. Jake's mouth upturned into a smile, but was quickly replaced with a frown as Wilmer stepped forward.
"Fine, but i'll be back."
Jake nodded, "And I'll be waiting."
After Jake made sure Wilmer had left he walked back to the door and closed it before knocking again.
I giggled, "Who is it?"
He laughed from outside, a booming sound that made me want to hear to again and again.
"It's Jake."
With a huge smile, I pulled open the door. "So, what brings you here on this fine morning?"
He pulled a quizzical face, "Nothing, I just always start my mornings chasing awa creepy ex-boyfriends."
I let out a loud cackle and smiled, "Thanks for that by the way."
He shrugged, "I brought you breakfast, you said last night that it was your day off today so I was wondering if you're free."
I cocked an eyebrow, "Only if there are egg sandwiches in that bag." Jake smiled and nodded.
"Well then I just cleared my schedule."
