Jamie's POV
Leland and I have been together six months today, and I've never been this happy in my life. We are on vacation from work with the kids for this entire week, and I can't wait to relax at home. Right now, I'm still laying in bed and I can hear Leland and Leiah laughing and playing in the living room. I moved in about a month ago, and waking up to my little family everyday, is the best thing in the world. I finally decide to roll out of bed and go start breakfast. I'm walking down the hall, throwing my hair into a messy bun, when Leiah spots me. "Jamie!!" She says excitedly as she runs up to hug me. I laugh and hug her back. "Good morning." "Will you make cinnamon rolls for breakfast?" She asks sweetly. "I knew you were going to ask me that, so last night when I went to the store, I bought all the things to make them homemade." I tell her with a smile. I grab her and her and I go into the kitchen to make the cinnamon rolls.

Leland's POV
It's been an amazing six months with Jamie. My kids love her, especially Leiah. Jamie treats and loves my kids just like they are her own. I got lucky. After I get dressed, me, Dakota, and Cobie, head out. Jamie and Leiah are going to stay home and have a girls day. "So dad, do you already have a ring picked out?" Dakota asks as we get in the car. "I think so. I want you guys to help me look though too." I tell them backing out of the driveway and heading to the jewelry store.

"That one right there is the one I want." I say to the jeweler. We had been looking at rings for about an hour, and I finally found the perfect one. It has a middle diamond that is surrounded by tiny diamonds all around it, and the band is solid tiny diamonds as well. This makes me even more excited to propose. I pay for the ring and the boys and I head out to grab some lunch. We walk into McDonald's and order our food, then find a table in the corner. "Dad, I just want to tell you that I am happy for you. Jamie is awesome and I'm glad that I'm going to be able to call her my stepmom." Cobie says as we all sit down. "I know that this is all moving fast, with her moving in and now I'm proposing, but I honestly believe that she's the one I've been looking for my entire life. She is the one for me." I tell my sons with a cheesy smile. They call our number for our food, and we eat so we can head home.

Jamie's POV
Leland and the boys got home not too long ago and we are all swimming in the backyard. There is no other way that I would want to spend our anniversary than with our family. Leiah is on her daddy's back and he's swimming around the pool, with Cobie and Dakota chasing him. All the kids are laughing and having fun, and I silently wish I had my phone to take pictures. After about an hour in the pool, Leiah comes over to me and says she's tired and ready to get out. I get out of the pool behind her and then I feel a strong hand on my ankle. "Where you going baby?" Leland asks with a smile. "Leiah is tired. I'm going to help her with her bath and get her ready for bed." I tell him, leaning down to kiss him softly.

We are all in bed now, tired from the day's activities. I'm laying quietly next to Leland and I hear him take a deep breath. "What's wrong?" I ask him, putting a hand on his chest. "I've been thinking about something for the last month or so, and trying to find the perfect time to bring it up." He says. I start getting nervous because I have no clue where this conversation is going. "I guess now is as good of time as any. The last six months with you have been some of the best of my life. With that being said, I don't think I can call you my girlfriend anymore. I want to make you my wife. Will you marry me?" He asks holding the ring between his finger tips. "Yes. A million times yes."
