Ever get that feeling, you should have stayed home in bed? Yeah I got that feeling big time. In fact I should have locked myself in my room and barricaded the door.
Why, you may ask? Well, I will tell you. Tonight was homecoming and I had a really bad feeling about tonight. Call it intuition but I just had a feeling something bad was going to happen.
I got ready for the dance and looked in the mirror.
"Look at you! You look beautiful," mom said enthusiastically.
I looked at her with a sorrowful look.
Dad walked up to the door, "you know you would look prettier if you didn't look like you needed to use the bathroom."
"Evan!"
"Just saying," he shrugged.
I threw my head back in frustration, "you're not helping."
"Hunny, relax. It's Zander," mom reminded me.
"Who I will break his hands if he does anything stupid," dad added. I gave him a look and rolled my eyes.
There was a knock at the door. Ethan opened it to find Zander dresses in a a black suit.
"FYI, be careful with Avery tonight or dad will hurt you," he smirked as he patted his shoulder, while leaving the house to pick up Lexie.
I came down stairs, catching his attention.
He looked at me as I walked over, "wow, you look amazing," he said to me.
"You look pretty handsome yourself," I complimented him.
"Ready?"
"Yep," I smiled as he took my hand and led me out of the house.
"Have fun but not too much fun or I won't hesitate to break some fingers," dad said to Zander as we both looked at him and Zander turned and walked away, dragging me behind him.
Way to ruin the moment dad.
We walked out and he walked over to a car. I stopped. He stopped and turned to me, "something wrong?"
