Ever since spring break, Zander and I became like horn dogs. I will admit, sex hurt like a bitch at first but afterwards, it was a lot of fun. Trying to hide it from my parents was a whole another ballgame, especially when you're walking funny.I just lied and said I had some crazy infection. Needless to say, dad didn't want to know and mom knew I was telling a whopper. She didn't out me on it. Thank god.
Prom also came up and Zander being Zander arranged some elaborate way to ask me. It was also a very romantic way.
He set up balloons in the main quad with him in the middle, holding a dozen red roses and a sign asking me to go to prom. How can someone resist that? Of course I said yes and of course Roxanne tried to start shit along with Lance.
Diego and Lexie promptly took care of them. Never ruin my moment people.

Prom day arrived and Lexie, Violet, Mira and I got ready at my house. Of course mom, Goldie, Bri and Gema helped. That was after Bri and Gema got done fighting over churros and cookies.Gema took Bri's Churros, while Bri took Gema's cookies. I will never understand their obsession with bake goods. But then again, I love romance movies.
Once we were done, the guys arrived to pick us up except Ethan who was already here.
After pictures, everyone started to leave for the limo when dad stopped Zander and me.
"Just so you know, there will be no deflowering my babygirl tonight," he warned. Our eyes got wide as mom tried not to laugh.
"No worries there," Zander said.
"Good. Have a good night you two," he said as we walked away.
The minute we were out of earshot, Zander leaned over, "if he only knew, I deflowered you over and over on spring break."
My cheeks heated up, "you're such a cheesehead," I shook my hand as we made our way to the limo.
When we arrived, we got out of the car. He took my hand, "no punch for you tonight. We don't need a repeat of what happened at homecoming."
I looked at him, "Yeah I would prefer not to end up in the hospital." He looked at me as I rolled my eyes. No way was I going to go that route again.
We walked in and everything looked amazing. We made our way to the dance floor. He took me in his arms and we danced.
There was something about being in his arms that felt so right. It seemed like it took us forever to get here but we were here.
As we danced we talked.
"So, you never did tell me what you decided to go to school for," he said to me.
"I wanted to do something romantic and what's more romantic than weddings," I smiled.
He looked at me a bit confused.
"I'm going to be a wedding planner, cheesehead," I rolled my eyes.
"Oh. Good choice," he nodded.
"Zander relax. I am nowhere ready to get married. I still have four more years of school to get through before I even get to that point," I said matter of fact.
"Well, what if I said you can do four years of school then one day I were to, you know, ask you?" He looked at me coyly.
I thought about it.
"Then I would have to see where I'm at," I smirked. He just rolled his eyes as I laughed.
I had to admit, this was way better than homecoming!
We danced for a while then went to get something to drink. We skipped the punch and just grabbed bottled water. It was better that way.
Then they announced King and Queen. We stood there, waiting. Can they get this over with so we can go back to dancing?
"Hi everyone," some cheerily girl announce in the most annoying tone ever. "I am here to announce king and queen!"
We stood there waiting.
"Prom king is Zander Masterson!" Okay wasn't expecting that.
Zander let go of me and went up to the stage. Of course I clapped and cheered. That's what a good girlfriend is suppose to do.
Then came Queen.
"And Prom queen goes to Roxanne Miller!" Wait. What? Now I wasn't clapping or cheering.
I looked at my friends who had no idea what was going on, then at Zander who shook his head and shrugged. I watched as Roseanne strutted up to the stage and took her crown. She look like the cat that ate the canary.
"Now time for the king and queen dance!" The girl announced.
Zander walked off the stage as Roxanne tried to grab his hand. I stood there with my arms crossed as they danced together. I was not happy.
I watched as they dance together, then the unthinkable happened. She kissed him! Oh hell no. He pushed her off of him, "what the hell?!"
"Oh Zandy you know you want me," she cooed.
"Like hell I do! Get away from me you psycho bitch!"
"Oh come on Zandy," she said as she tried to put her hands on him. Then she felt a tap on the shoulder. "Excuse me?" She said as she turned and got met with my fist right on her nose, causing her to fall backwards. This took everyone by surprise, including Zander.
I looked at her, "high school is about to end and you're stupidity will still remain. Good luck trying this bullshit in college, you stupid twit."
With that I walked away and over to Zander. I gave him a look.
"What? She kissed me," he said emphatically.
"Next time put some hot sauce on your lips," I told him.
"Then you wouldn't be able to kiss me," he retorted.
"Touché," I said as he rolled his eyes.
He took my hand and led me to the dance floor. Then he promptly removed his crown and tossed it.
"Why did you toss it," I asked him.
"Because I don't need to be reminded I'm king," he said as I arched an eyebrow at him. "Because my queen reminds me why I'm king," he said to me.
I couldn't help but giggle when he said that. It was cheesy but pretty romantic.
The rest of prom went a lot better after Roxanne scampered off. The fact is, there will always be some girl who feels the need to try and start trouble. It's up to us if we allow it.
