Beauty And The Beast (HIATUS)

Ch 10

   I woke up to my alarm clock and immediately stretched and got out of bed. I didn’t have a chance to confront Paige yesterday, asking why in the right mind she was going on a date with CC. I had to talk to Mia ASAP! I quickly brushed my teeth, hopped in the shower, and blow dried my hair. I decided to wear my black plaid shirt, vest, ripped skinny jeans, and boots today. I pulled half of my hair up and applied some eyeliner and mascara before heading downstairs towards the garage. Paige left suspiciously early, which wasn’t like her.

   After locking up the garage, I got in the car and pulled off, pressing the button to close the garage. I literally sped to school, going about 60 mph in a 45 mph. Yikes! Once I pulled into the campus parking lot, which was 15 minutes later, I jumped out and quickly walked towards the dining hall. Of course, Mia was in there grabbing a bagel and a few other things.

“MIA!” I yelled, running up to her.

“Hey girl! What’s up?” she asked, smiling.

“I need to show you something!” I said.

“What what what?” she asked eagerly.

   I logged onto face book and went to CC’s profile to show her the comment he wrote to Paige. They were obviously going on a date Friday. I gave her my phone and her smile faded. I gave her a sympathetic smile.

“It’s probably nothing.” She simply said, handing me back my phone.

“Mia, it’s obviously something. It has to be.” I said sternly.

“I’m just not one to jump to conclusions. I’ll just have to see for myself. You’re such a good best friend for telling me though.” She replied.

   I knew on the inside, she was upset. I could see the slight hurt in her eyes. I would be too if someone I despised would stoop even lower and take my crush away from me. We sat and ate our bagels in silence. I felt bad for her, because CC was literally one of her favorite people in the world.

“See you later, Nina.” Mia said, smiling weakly.

   With that, she walked off before I could say a word. I needed to find Paige and set everything straight. As I got up and started towards the door, Paige runs in towards me.

“Hey! You know how you’re a total bitch and won’t listen to a word I have to say? Well, unfortunately, I need your help since Brittany isn’t here today!” she said quickly.

“Um, I’m pretty sure that’s the OTHER way around. Why do you wanna talk anyways?” I asked, giving her a WTF look.

“Look, I need to know if I look ok! I-I’m going out with…a friend after school.” She hesitated.

“Sure you are. Does this ‘friend’ happen to go by the name of CC?” I asked rudely.

“How the hell did you find out about that?” she hissed.

“I’m not retarded, Paige! I saw that you guys became face book friends a few days ago, and you’re planning a date on Friday! You know Mia likes him!” I snapped.

“We’re NOT gonna do anything wrong! Chill out for a second! We’re just friends.” She assured.

“Friends? Really now? You HATE all the shit I listen to, and all of a sudden you’re interested in one of the bvb members? Pretty suspicious if you ask me.” I scoffed.
