Ch 22

---CC’s POV---

   Well, telling Paige I loved her was a fail… She either doesn’t love me back, or she was too stunned to say anything. Maybe it was too soon? I have a habit of getting attached too easily. I’ll apologize to her later. I still hope she feels as deeply as I do. Paige was at Britt’s staying over, so I was gonna go pick her up. I REALLY wanted to see her, and talk about last night. As I was walking downstairs, it got dead silent. Puzzled, I slowly walked into the living room. Everyone except Ashley was there.

“CC, we need to talk to you.” Andy said sternly.

“It’s about Paige.” Maddie said.

“Of course. It’s ALWAYS about MY girlfriend!” I flailed my arms dramatically.

“CC! It’s about that song she was singing! It’s NOT hers!” Jinxx said seriously.

“What are you talking about? Of course it’s hers!” I replied.

“CC. The song isn’t hers. It was in Nina’s songbook that she stole.” Jake said with his arms crossed.

“Guys! She didn’t ‘steal’ Nina’s book! She took it by accident! She has her own song book!” I said, annoyed.

“Hmm, have you ever SEEN her song book?” Sammi smirked.

“No, but that doesn’t m-“ I was cut off.

“Ok, then how do you know what she writes about, or if the songs REALLY hers?” Ella but in, arms crossed.

“You guys need to stop finding EVERY excuse in the book to hate Paige! She’s done NOTHING to you!” I complained.

“DUDE! You’re making a huge deal over nothing! You’re blinded and thinking she’s the most ‘perfect’ girl in the world, and clearly, she’s NOT!” Maddie snapped.

“You’re living a lie, man.” Jinxx said.

“YOU guys are the ones who are making a huge deal! I can’t even be happy for TWO seconds without you guys butting in!” I snarled.

“We’re NOT trying to keep you from being happy; we’re fucking looking out for you!” Andy snapped, Jake nodded in agreement.”

“We also happen to know there’s quite more to her than you think. I have proof; Nina was right about her.” Ella said, shaking her head.

“If you guys were REALLY my friends, you’d learn to be happy for me! YOU all are happily taken, why can’t I be!? I deserve the same amount of respect for my relationship, but it looks like I’m not gonna get that.” I said coldly.

“Dude! Just open your damn eyes for once! She’s NO GOOD! I know you wanna be happy, but it’s NOT with Paige! Please believe us!” Jake said.

“NO! You know what!? I’m NOT dealing with this shit anymore! If I can’t have my own friends be happy for me, then why bother being around!?” I hissed.

“W-What are you implying?” Andy asked cautiously.

“I’M QUITTING THE FUCKING BAND!” I yelled before heading towards the door.

   I ignored everyone calling my name out and just headed towards my car. I sped off rather quickly; I just wanted to get away from them. I needed Paige right now. She’d understand, and I could trust her. I really do care for her; Hell, I LOVE her. I really hope she feels the same.

---Nina’s POV---

   After school, Mia, Danie and I walked across the street to Quiznos to wait outside for the guys. I can’t believe I was gonna meet My Darkest Days! Danie was just as excited as I was; we kept squealing and bringing up “what if…” moments. Mia shook her head at us. We felt bad for what she told us about CC. I can’t believe he’s already getting serious with Paige! He’s digging a deeper hole for himself, and I can’t wait until he finds out what he got himself into…SHIT! I still need to tell them that CC left the band! Ashley seemed pretty upset this morning; I bet all the guys are. I’ll talk to him later though.
