Ch 26

---Nina’s POV---

   I stormed down to the basement and found Mia on the couch silently crying. I felt bad for her. I can’t believe CC would say some awful shit like that. I was even hurt by some of his words. He’s not who we thought he was, and I hate to say it, but I don’t think we’ll ever get the old fun, crazy, loveable CC back ever again. Not when he’s with Paige. We have GOT to find a way to break those fuckers up. Showing him the videos Danie recorded might not be enough. That sounds petty and high school-ish, but Paige is a cunt, and CC needs to get that through his head.

“Mia.” I said softly, walking and sitting down next to her.

“I. Hate. CC.” she said through soft cries.

“I know. We ALL do at this point. I’m sorry for what happened out there.” I say, putting my hand on hers.

“It’s whatever. WHY do I keep wasting tears on this asshole!? I can’t believe he’d SAY that!” she shrieked.

“Just let him wallow in the hell hole he dug for himself. He’ll find out sooner than later that she’s no good.” I sighed.

“I guess.” She sniffled.

“Say, do you still talk to Reid?” I suddenly asked.

“Yeah, well, not everyday like I used to. I set him and Danie up, remember? Whenever she’s not with us, she’s texting, skyping, or on the phone with Reid.” She laughed a bit.

“Are you thinking what I’m thinking?” I smirked.

“Oh yeah.” She winked.

---Ashley’s POV---

“I can’t believe he’s just flat out leaving.” I say, upset.

“To think we were best friends, BROTHERS. How can we be a band again?” Jinxx sighed.

“I don’t know man. We just gotta go with the flow for now.” Jake tried.

“He’ll be back.” Ella, Sammi, and Maddie said in unison.

“I sure hope so. As much of an ass as he is now, we need him.” Andy replied.

   While we all talked amongst ourselves about the situation, Nina and Mia came running up from the basement. Mia looked like she’d been crying. Poor thing.

“You ok?” I asked sweetly. She smiled and nodded.

“Sorry about him.” Andy shook his head.

“Nah, that’s who he is now. We just have to get used to it.” She simply said.

“WE have another plan. It’s kinda petty, but-“Jinxx cut Nina off.

“Nina, this plan was killer, and we enjoyed it, but it sorta backfired.” He said upset. Mia raised an eyebrow.

“Uh oh. How?” she asked cautiously. Everyone took a huge breath.

“Nina, CC and Paige were doing a lot of talking over the phone while she was giving him a b.s. story.” Sammi replied.

“They’re leaving California, for good.” Maddie finished.

“WHAT!?” Mia and I yelled.

---Paige’s POV---

   CC drove to my townhouse to help me pack up my room. We’re leaving for Arizona, his hometown in 5 days after this semester ends. I never been there before, so that should be interesting. He has a small house out there with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. We don’t know how long we’re staying, but it’ll probably be for good. No skin off my nose. Britt’s originally from there also, so she’d visit for about 4 days each month! I wanted to get as far away from here as possible, and I know for sure CC did too. I’d explain it to mum and dad later. I knew I needed to break it off with him while I could, but I just dug myself into a deeper hole…
