Ch 9

Ashley was over at my place at around 7:15. I greeted him with a kiss and let him in. In the back of my mind, I was still thinking about him following Britt, and CC being friends with Paige. I wasn’t even friends with my own sister, and never planned to be.

“DAMN! Nice place!” Ashley said in awe.

“Haha, thank you. You’re just like Mia when she finally came over.” I laugh.

“Well, it’s the truth. You people are loaded!” he exclaimed.

“Haha, I guess. Hey, did you know CC and Paige are friends?” I asked suddenly.

   I wasn’t even gonna bring up the Brittany thought because I didn’t wanna jump to conclusions. Plus, I want tonight to be about us. I’m sure it was nothing. I’m not a huge fan of confrontations.

“I noticed that. I didn’t really think too much of it.” He shrugged.

“Uh, assuming she hates the music I listen to, it has to be something.” I said suspiciously.

“That’s true. She was at the show last night with Britt for some odd reason. I thought she hated us, too.” He replied in a ‘duh’ tone.

“They were just there to piss Mia and I off. I’m sure it’s nothing. I’m still gonna warn Mia in case Paige tries something.” I replied.

“Good call. Well, tonight isn’t getting any younger, so lets go!” he said, clapping his hands together.

   I laugh as we made our way out. I locked up the house and headed towards his car. He opened and closed the door for me and got in the drivers side.

“Nice car dude!” I exclaimed.

“Thanks, doll. I forgot to mention how breath taking you look.” He winked.

“Stooop!” I blushed. “You look awfully snazzy yourself.” I laugh.

   He did indeed look hot, even though he was in all black. He wore a half sleeve black shirt, a black vest, black ripped skinny jeans, and black cowboy boots. He only wore eyeliner, and his hair was bone straight, just the way I like it. ‘Why the fuck was he so gorgeous? With AND without makeup! He has it ALL! Life isn’t fair!’ I thought to myself.

“Aw, don’t be sad. You know you’re the whole package.” Ashley cooed.

“Shit! I said that out loud!” I groaned.

“I have that effect on people. I’m glad you think of me so highly.” He laughed.

   I playfully roll my eyes as we pull up to a beach front restaurant in L.A. Wow, the drive from Malibu really felt like 10 minutes instead of 30. We walked in, hand in hand to the restaurant. It was beautiful. The sun was halfway down, which is perfect because I love watching the sun set. It was even better because I was on the beach, with my outlaw.

“Table for two, please.” Ashley said to the waitress.

   She smiled and led us to our table on the balcony. After we told her what we wanted to drink, we immediately started talking.

“So, is everything ok with the guys?” I asked, remembering why he was late.

“Everything’s fine. Just CC being an idiot and trying to break a ‘world record’” Ashley answered rather quickly. Weird…

“Haha, oh CC. I wonder how his date with Mia is going.” I wondered.

“Knowing CC, probably well. He’s a fun guy.” Ashley laughed.

“They would make such a cute couple.” I said smiling.

“Trust me, I know. He should just ask her out already.” Ashley sighed.
