We arrive at Joey's house, but the girls aren't there yet. We walk up to the door and see Mrs. Hemmer gardening.
"Hi boys!" she calls, waving.
"Hi mom!"
"Hi Mrs. Hemmer!" We walk inside. I walk over to the fridge and grab a lemonade bottle and start drinking. The doorbell rings. We hear Mrs. Hemmer call "Go on in boys, they're probably in the kitchen. Then Caleb and Alex walk in.
"Hey dudes!" Alex calls, waving.
"Heyo," we reply. I toss Alex a coke and Caleb a lemonade too. Then we head down into the basement. Joey's basement has a foosball table, an Xbox 1, a Wii U, a PS4 and a whole cabinet of games. It also has 3 couches, some beanbag chairs, and 2 huge flatscreen TVs. Plus a mini fridge and a cabinet full of junk food like Goldfish and Twix. It's freakin awesome. We all get on the Xbox and start playing Madden 15. It's the Chargers vs the Jets, with Joey and I as the Chargers, and Caleb and Alex as the Jets. Just as I catch the winning touchdown with an amazing pass from QB Joey, the girls walk in. We're cheering really loud while Caleb and Alex are booing. But we all have good sportsmanship, so it's all good. Joey gets up and gives Hannah a big kiss on the lips while everyone else groans.
"I already ordered the pizza, so who wants to watch a movie?" Joey asks. A bunch of 'yea's and 'sure's follow. We put in a good old movie called "The Sandlot". Joey turns the lights out then goes over to a beanbag, while Hannah cuddles up next to him. Josie and Caleb grab a beanbag as well. Nicole and I sit on one of the couches, with Alex and Brooke on the other. A few minutes in, the pizza comes.
We manage to get about 3 quarters of the movie done before Joey and Hannah start making out. So I chuck a pillow at Joey and tell them to get a room. So they go into Joey's room, which is in the basement.
"That's not really what I meant," I whisper to Nicole. "I just wanted them to stop." She giggles.
The movie ends, so I suggest playing truth or dare in the hot tub. Joey and Hannah are back out by this time and agree. So we get into our swimsuits, take a bunch of drinks out to the hot tub, and get in. Joey's family members are all asleep now, as it's 12:30, so we're good. Joey has 3 hot tubs, one inside a little shed thingy, one in his parents' bathroom, and one outside, next to the pool. We go to the one outside. It's on the side of the kids' wing, out of view of any windows. I'm not sure if that's good or bad.
"Alex, truth, dare or would you rather?" Caleb says. I thought we were playing just truth or dare but whatever.
"Uh... dare." He replies.
"Alright, I dare you... to... jump in the pool." Caleb says.
"That's lame, man," Alex replies, jumping in the pool. "HOLY CRAP IT'S FREAKIN' COLD!!" We all start laughing.
"See it wasn't that lame!" Caleb says, laughing. Alex get back in the hot tub, shivering, and sits next to Brooke.
"Truth, dare or would you rather?" Alex asks Nicole.
"Would you rather," she replies.
"Would you rather... kiss Lucas or Henry?" Alex asks. Henry is this kid at our school. He's captain of the basketball team.
"Alex!" I say splashing him.
"Um..." then Nicole mumbles something we can't hear.
"What was that Nicole? Speak up we can't hear you!" Alex says with an evil grin.
She mumbles again, but a little louder.
"Still can't hear yooouuu!"
"Lucas! Geez Alex," she says blushing. I smile at her, but she avoids my gaze. Crap.
