We followed Mekhi down a few hallways, and into another one. This one had thin, classroom-like carpet, with creamy white walls. The first door was made of mahogany. [it's mahogany] Mekhi opened it and gestured around. It had 2 queen sized beds on opposite sides of the room, one with purple bedspreads, the other with magenta. Two dressers separate the beds. There's also two desks. Two windows overlooking a pond and forest are on the back and left walls. There is lush, magenta carpet covering the floor, and the walls are a pleasant lavender. The room is pretty spacious, considering it's just gonna house the two girls.
"There is a bathroom at the end of the room, attached," Mekhi says.
"Is there like a gift shop or something here? Because I want to buy some colored pencils and paints," Khylie asks.
"No, but we can get you some later," Mekhi replies. Khylie nods. We continue down a few feet and stop in front of another door. She opens it and it's about the same layout as the girls' room. But one bed has turquoise sheets and the other a dark blue. And both windows are on the back wall. The carpet is lush in here too, and blue. The walls are a nice, bright aqua.
"Luke and Zane's room," Mekhi states.
The final room has two beds with bright green, and dark green sheets. One window on the right side and one on the back wall. This room has green carpet and walls, both different shades that blend together perfectly. I'm assuming it'll be Jai and Isaac's room.
"You can all go back to your rooms and get settled in," Mekhi tells us. I walk back to our room with Zane. Each dresser is filled with tunics, nightclothes, socks and boxers. Mine is mainly light blue and turquoise, while Zane's is filled with navy and deep ocean blues. He sits on his bed and I plop into the desk next to his.
"So. You and Khylie, eh?" I tease. He narrows his eyes at me.
"Possibly," he replies tersely. I grin at him. He sighs and lays down on his bed.
"I honestly have no idea what's happening right now, so if you wanna fill me in that'd be sweet," I say.
"I've been trying to figure it out myself. I think this is some sort of dream/coma hallucination thing. Because I had an accident one day and I don't remember waking up. Maybe we will wake up soon and have to find this place. Like a test or something," he explains.
"Yea, I cracked my head against the side of a pool and don't remember waking up." Saying that makes me think of Nicole. Oh I miss her. I wonder what she's doing right now.
"What are you thinking about?" Zane asks.
"My girlfriend. Or I think she's my girlfriend. I'm not sure," I reply. Zane stands up and starts pacing.
"Luke! Lucas where did you go? It's blurry!" Zane yells. He staggers around. I jump off the bed and rush over to him. I catch him right before he falls.
"Lucas," he whispers. "Lucas it's... blurry... and colorful.... I think I'm..."
His eyes close. Then he fades out of my grasp. I scramble to get a hold on him. He's fading and I can no longer feel him in my arms. Then he disappears altogether.
I rush out into the hallway and run smackdab into Khylie and Jai. We all talk at once.
"Bros! Isaac mumbled some stuff then disappeared."
"Kia is gone! She faded!"
"Zane DISAPPEARED!"
Then everything starts to get blurry. And colors start to swirl. I stagger. Then collapse. All the color is sucked out of my sight. Then it's all black.
