Shayne x Olivia (Smosh)

chapter 5

Shayne:

Olivia and I walked into the office about half an hour late after that whole episode in the morning. We both walked in laughing at some stupid joke I had made. Normally the office is busy and loud when I walk in, but this time it was completely silent. We both immediately stopped laughing as we realized Ian, everyone from Smosh Games, and Noah, Courtney, and Keith were all looking at us.

I had forgotten all about the meeting that we were having this morning about Smosh summer  beach games. 

Ian raised an eyebrow at us as his arms crossed over his chest. He checked his watch.

"Where were you? You're over half an hour late," he said while glancing down at our hands. I looked down too and realized that I had been unconsciously holding her arm to keep her steady the whole walk through the parking lot and up the stairs. I immediately dropped my hand and felt my face turn red. Olivia dropped her arm too and I could tell she was also embarrassed. 

"S-sorry. Shayne picked me up on the way because I wasn't feeling well while I was walking to work, and I ended up getting sick on the side of the road and he had to stop and wait for me to feel better. It's not his fault at all." I looked at her and thanked her with a small smile.

Ian frowned and then seemed to go through a series of emotions before finally saying, "At least you guys are here now. We were so worried!" And then he smiled and everyone else in the room seemed to relax as well, including me.

"Now we can start our meeting. I need to start by assigning cabin groups and then I'll hand out the schedule for shooting. We are leaving for Hawaii tomorrow and we're going to all take the same plane. It's assigned seating so I'll give you guys your seat numbers today too. Don't forget to pack your bags." Ian handed out the schedules in which every day started at 7 AM and ended at 10 PM.

"When am I supposed to get my beauty rest?" I joked after I read the schedule. Everyone chuckled.

"Don't worry, Shayne you don't need it. You're already beautiful," Ian joked back. I smiled. "Now I'm going to read out the cabin groups. It's four people to a cabin and there are two bunk beds in the cabin. I'll read out the bunk buddies and groups. First, Mari, Joven, Wes, and Sohinki. Mari and Sohinki are bunking together, Joven and Wes are bunking together."

Ian read out other people's names until finally I heard mine.

"Shayne, Keith, Courtney, and Olivia. Shayne and Keith are together, Courtney and Olivia are together."

"Yes!" Courtney yelled as she hugged Olivia.

"Hey, I wanted to bunk with a girl," Mari protested.

"Well you got Sohinki he's practically a girl," Ian joked. Everyone laughed and Sohinki glared at him.

I smiled. My cabin group was pretty great, but I guess it would be weird basically living with Olivia for a week.

"I call top bunk!" Keith and Courtney exclaimed at the same time. They laughed as they realized they said it together.

"I guess we get bottom, then." I laughed.

"Yup, you're stuck with me again, Shayne." She chuckled back.

"Now the plane groups are pretty much based on who is in your cabin. I'll just read out the order from window seat to aisle."

Ian went through everyone and came to our group last.

"Keith, Shayne, Olivia, and Courtney is the order for you guys." 

"Yes, I get window!" Keith smirked.

Great, I have to sit next to her on the flight, too. This is really not helping me get over her. I awkwardly glanced at her when they said our names and she looked back at me. 

She smiled dryly, "Guess you're going to have to see a lot of me on this trip, Shayne."

"I guess so, Olivia."
