When I woke up, everything was hazey. It was like I was in a dream. I blinked several times in order to get my vision to clear up. As I looked around, I noticed something. My mind was blank. I couldn't remember anything. As I started to hyperventilate, the door opened. In walked a male who looked like a fallen angel. His hair was a gentle shade of brown his eyes a shimmering crimson. He looked like he was studying me.

"Are you ok?" he questioned. I stared into his eyes and tried to remember what had happened to me.

"What happened?" his expression turned grim as I flinched. For some reason I felt like I wasn't supposed to talk. I shook off the feeling.

"You don't remember?"

"No, I-I don't remember anything." His expression filled with sympathy.

"I found you unconscious in an alley last night." what would I be doing in an alley? I looked down trying not to show any emotions. If I have no memories, where am I supposed to go? The guy started towards me and brushed his hand across my face before settling for cupping my cheek. Once again I was confused as I leaned into his touch.

"I had a discussion with the Headmaster last night after I brought you here and he said that you could join the school if you wanted to. You would be in my class." I let my eyes wonder around while thinking. Finally, I decided to attend. I mean, what's the worst that could happen?

"I will attend." Then I asked a question I should've asked a while back.

"What is your name?"

He gave a gentle smile and replied, "My name is Kaname."

Kaname, that name sounded familiar somehow. My head started to hurt as I tried to recall where I had heard that name.

"Do I know you?" I stared into his crimson eyes which were filled with concern.

"Yes, now I remember. You and I used to be childhood friends until you disappeared." Trying to wrap my mind around that sentence proved to be difficult. I winced as pain suddenly ricocheted throughout my head. Kaname knelt down in front of me and took my head into his hands. The pain disappeared. I stared into his crimson eyes feeling lost and alone with one question swimming through my mind.

What happened to me?

There was a crash outside and shouting. I jumped up startled only to sway on my feet and collapse to the ground. Before I could though, Kaname caught me and held me in a firm embrace. He placed me back onto the uncomfortable bed and sighed.

"I need to take care of something. Please stay here until I return." His eyes were locked on mine and I felt myself nodding as he turned away. Kaname walked out the door and disappeared into the night. I laid back on the bed and drifted off thinking about whether or not I could regain my memories.

~Kaname's~

I walked out of the nurses office to see Black Jack and Cheshire Cat, also known as Riley and Ash, throwing Aidou across the hall. I cleared my throat and stood in front of them.

"What is the meaning of this?" Ash spoke first.

"What the hell did you do to her?! I know you tampered with her mind." Riley shouted.

"I simply took away all of her memories. She doesn't need to suffer any longer." I stood my ground and stared down the two idiotic boys.

"Give her back to us! She's not yours!" Riley pushed me into the wall. I looked down at him and scoffed.

"If you want her memories back, you figure out a way to get them back. Until then, leave her alone." I turned on my heel and walked away leaving the two boys fuming with rage.

I felt a shift in the air and grimaced. The time was near. He was coming for her. I won't let that happen. He won't lay a filthy hand on my beloved. I started towards my room. It's time to start planning.
