It's been hours. Hours and hours all night she'd been repairing Androids. She took care of the ones that were critically damaged at first and then she took care of the others. They were all resting now in their rooms. They needed time for their processor to get used to the new biocomponents that'd been attached.
Andry didn't have enough Thirium and biocomponents for all Models of Androids but she had the time to start manufacturing them at the same time.
By the time the first hours of the next day arrived, she had finished the repairs. Andry walked in her office and she sat on her comfy chair leaving a sigh of exhaustion. She took off her glasses and her blue colored gloves and she rubbed her face.
So many lives of Androids were depending on her, and she was slowly dying each day that passed. When I'm gone what will happen to them? The worst scenario was for the FBI to arrest them and take them out one by one.
No, I need more time! Andry woke up and she walked towards her lab. North was resting on the hospital bed in it. She'd closed her eyes to rest and Andry hoped that she wouldn't notice her being there.
She wrapped the small device and she counted the amount of toxicity in her blood.
Blood Toxicity 79%
Andry left the device back on the bench with trembling hands and she sat on a chair nearby. She buried her face in her hands sucking in a deep breath trying to ease the need to cry.
No, I'm not gonna cry... I'm not gonna cry... Fuck! She was failing to convince herself this time. The tears slipped out without permission as she rested her head on her right hand trying to be as silent as possible.
"Andry?"
She heard a voice and she snapped her gaze at North. Andry immediately wiped the tears away and she woke up and walked towards her.
"North, how do you feel-?" Andry tried to ask but North cut her.
"Why are you crying?" North asked as she woke on sitting position.
"I-It's nothing," Andry said as she took off the needle she'd attached on North's hand which was transferring the blue blood in her body.
"You know better than I do that Androids can understand when humans are lying," North said.
"For your information that feature was my idea," Andry said with a fake chuckle as she turned to the screen of a computer and she started typing stuff on the keyboard.
North chuckled as well. Her smile faded away as she asked again "What's wrong?"
Andry stopped typing as she sighed and she turned and looked at her. She knew that North wouldn't stop until she actually had an answer.
"I... I had an accident. The car slipped in the sea, I lost my arm. My arms are my job so I made a biocomponent. Biocomponents work only with Thirium which is high on toxicity and also raises the toxicity in my blood. In the current levels I'd say that... I only have a day left," Andry said as she buried her face in her arms again.
North placed her hand on her shoulder. "I'm sorry, Andry,"
"I don't worry about losing my life, North, but when I'm gone... what will happen in this refuge? What will happen with all of you? Who will publicly protect you?" Andry said.
"You shouldn't worry about us," North said "You should worry more about finding something that will keep you alive,"
"It's been three years, I've tried everything," Andry said.
