"Asia!?" my mum yelled from the kitchen
"Yes mum?!" i yelled unpacking my room. We just moved here a couple days ago and i still have so much to unpack! It's horrible!
"Come here for a second please, i need help with the kitchen stuff!" she called back. I didn't answer i just made my way down stairs and to the kitchen to help her. She had everything stacked in neat piles with the things they went along with "i need you to help me put this stuff in the cabinets. I looked at her like she was mad
"I'm shorter than you, how on earth am i supposed to get those things in there?" i asked, she just nodded towards the step ladder "And you couldn't do this because?" i asked already making my way to the first pile of dishes
"I'm just to lazy, this is what having a daughter is for" she laughed and walked out the kitchen, leaving me to take care of everything, but i didn't mind

i got things done relatively fast and went to go up stairs when the door bell rung
"I got it!" i yelled and went to open it and saw a woman standing there
"Hello?" i questioned
"Oh Hi! I'm Jo. I live next door with my son Louis, i was wondering if you and you parents would want to come over tomorrow and get to know each other, you could also meet my son, you two will going to the same school i presume" she finished
"Yeah, i guess. Let me get my mum really quick, come on in" i said and moved over to let her in "Sorry, it's quite the mess" i laughed
"i understand" she laughed as well. I went to get my mum, i found her in the kitchen.
"mum, one of our neighbours is here and wants to invite us over tomorrow to get to know each other, plus she said her son and I would most likely be going to the same school, she's in the living room now" i said, my mum nodded and walked to meet her
"Hello!" my mum called, making the women turn around
"Hello! I'm Jo, would you like to come over tomorrow and chat and get to know each other?" she asked hopefully. My mum looked at me and i nodded my head, i like this women already, and plus, my mum needs some new friends here, I just hope i make some as well
"Sure, we'll be over! What time would you like?" my mum asked her
"how does two tomorrow afternoon sound? It takes a while for my son to fully awake" she laughed, making me do the same
"Sure, that works for us!" my mum answered
"That's great! Well, see you both tomorrow!" she said, and waved us goodbye
"Well, she was nice! I'm off to bed mum" i said and kissed her cheek
"Good night sweetie, love you!" she said to me as i went upstairs
"Good night! Love you too!" i said and went straight to bed

I woke up refreshed and to the smell of my favorite chocolate chip pancakes. i got up, took a shower quickly and went down stairs in my robe with my hair up, when my mom turned around, we both laughed at each other, that's how we both were
"Like mother" she said
"Like daughter" i finished and sat down at the little bar area in our kitchen while she handed me the plate
"What should i wear today over to Jo's house?" i asked
"Maybe one of your summer dresses or something, i'm going to go do my hair" my mum said and went upstairs, leaving me to finish my pancakes ad think by myself, what help she is, right?
