The rest of the party passes by slowly as I look around the dance for my friends since they all have seemed to disappear.

After about five minutes of searching I spot Blake's brown moppy hair and make my way over to him.

I step on my tiptoes when I reach him and whisper in his ear, "Hello, Robin. I'd like to report a missing person."

He literally jumps in the air and turns around looking at me with a death glare plastered on his face.

I try to contain my laughter but his facial expression makes me laugh anyway.

"Did you just say that to scare me or is there really someone missing?"

I quickly sober up and smile, "Well I didn't mean to scare you but yes. Your leader."

He stares blankly at me, "My leader? Who would that be?"

I cross my arms over my chest managing not to mess up my costume, "Batman?"

He smirks, "Batman is not my leader. He's my sidekick."

"You mean your his sidekick?" I smirk back.

"Does it matter? I basically just said that."

"No, you said he was your-" I begin but he interrupts me.

"Okay, that's not the point. Are you asking where Shane is?"

"Considering Shane is dresses as Batman, yes."

"I don't know if he went straight home or not but he left like a hour ago. He told me to hitch a ride." He says with a shrug of his shoulders.

'Oh, I'm sure you can hitch a ride with us," I say but when I turn my head I notice Jes and Jeremy walking out of the dance laughing about something, "Well, I guess you're stuck with me then."

He smiles before holding out his hand for me to take.

I look at him confused for a minute until I realize that I have sittin down a minute ago. I take his hand in mine and we walk out of the dance hand in hand.

Since neither of us have a car, I slip off my heels and we stroll down the street in silence.

I look down at our intertwined hands and smile. It actually feels kind of good holding his hand. A really weird feeling but it's a good weird.

I smile to myself looking up at the sky as the stars shine down at me.

The silence is interrupted when I hear a stomach growl. It's not mine so it has to be..

I'm correct when I see Blake hit his stomach telling it to shut up as if it will listen to him.

I burst out laughing at Blake who keeps hitting his stomach and he gives me a incredulous look.

"Why are you laughing at me?"

I just shake my head and quickly sober up, "Are you hungry?"

"Obviously." He says.

I just give him a blank stare to which he smirks.

"Well do you want to grab something to eat?" He asks me after a moment of silence.

I look at him for a minute, "Like a date?"

His eyes widen slightly before he quickly looks down, "Um.. if.. that's okay with you?"

"It's fine, just a friendly date." I reassure him.

He nods his head before looking away, "Yeah, friends."
