I walk into school on Monday morning with a smile on my face. Normally on Mondays, I don't even want to get out of bed, and I don't normally smile until lunch time but today, I was just in a great mood.
I make my way towards my locker and notice a frustrated Shane leaning against it with Brook and Blake who are smiling at each other.
When Shane spots me, he visibly relaxes, "Thank God! It's absolute torture listening to them talk mushy."
"But I thought you wanted us together?" Brook asks looking at Shane.
Shane sighs, "I do but please no mushy stuff when I'm around?"
"Dude, when you and J-" Blake starts to say but Shane slaps his arm stopping him mid sentence.
"Don't you dare finish that sentence." Shane says glaring at Blake. I look at them confused but before I can speak up, Blake speaks.
"Fine. No more mushy stuff around you." He sighs and takes Brook's arm, dragging her down the hallway.
"What was that about?" I ask Shane once they're out of sight.
"Just them being all mushy and shit." Shane says leaning on the locker next to mine.
I just nod my head in understanding opening my locker and grabbing out my Math textbook and binder.
"I think it's sweet." I say rolling my eyes at him.
"Well, you would you're a girl." He says with a smirk.
I slam my locker shut, "And what does that supposed to mean?"
"Girls are more sensitive then guys." He shrugs.
I scoff, "Says the guy who cried when you went and saw a chick flick with Ansley."
"Hey, I can't help that the dog died." He says looking down.
"So you admit to it?" I ask smirking at him.
He looks up at me with a glare and I just giggle. I look closely at him and see him staring behind me.
Curiously I turn around and notice Jeremy coming towards us. I smile when he approaches and lean up for a kiss but he just kisses me on the fore head. That's weird.
I just lean back confused and look up at him, "I'll see you later, babe?"
"Uh, sure?" I more like question him. He usually walks me to class, I think to myself.
He kisses my cheek before turning around and heading in the opposite direction.
I turn around to talk to Shane but see him storming down the hallway towards our Math class.
Huh? Maybe this day won't be as great as I thought it would be.
--------
"So he just kissed your fore head and cheek and just left?" Brook asks me as we walk to lunch.
"Yeah, weird right?"
She doesn't say anything just nods.
"Are you keeping something from me?" I ask her making her stop in her tracks.
"No." She says real quickly before walking ahead of me in a fast pace.
All three of them have been like that all dang day and I'm getting really worried. I play it off like I'm cool on the outside but in the inside, I'm dying.
"Okay.." I say slowly and Brook just turns around and smiles at me before walking all over to the vending machine to purchase a coke.
I sit down at our usual table and pull out my lunch, quietly munching on my sandwich. Blake and Brook reappear a few minutes later and sit down beside each other giggling about something.
