"Wanna get out of here?" I whisper in Brooks ear as we dance to the latest pop song.
She turns around and looks up at me curiously, "We can't just leave, Blake."
"We can and we are." I tell her grabbing her hand and walking out of the school with her beside me.
We walk over to my dad's truck and get in.
"Wait how are Jes and Shane gonna get home?" She asks me concerned.
I smile at her, "They'll find a way, don't worry."
She nods before closing the door behind her, "So where are you taking me that's so important that we had to ditch prom?"
I smirk, "You'll see when we get there, but we're gonna stop to eat first, I'm starved."
"I bet you are, Mr. I didn't want to eat that nasty girl food." She giggles.
"Hey, they did have girly food, I mean all they had was chocolates, and cupcakes. Like what kind of food is that?"
"Good food."
"Well, we're going to get some real food." I tell her with a wink.
She gasps, "Cupcakes is real food."
I smirk, "You know what I mean, princess."
She raises a eyebrow, "Do I Blake, do I really?"
"Yes, and you'll be thanking me after we eat for dragging you away from that horrid place called school."
"It was the prom, Blakie." She giggles.
"It was still held at the school." I smirk.
"Smartass." She mutters and I chuckle.
"Always."
"Clearly."
"Sarcastic much?" I chuckle.
"Always." She says throwing my word back at me.
I smirk, and shake my head, pulling into the parking lot.
"Rocky's Diner?" She asks me with a smile on her face.
I turn around in my seat and nod, "Yes, for two reasons."
"Hmm?" She asks me turning her attention towards me.
"I really want another BLT, they have the best bacon ever."
"They really do! You know they actually help get the bacon." She tells me.
"Really? That's so cool." I tell her honestly.
"Yeah, I know-" She stops short, "Wait, what's the second thing?"
I grab her hand before smiling at her, "It's the place where the love of my life told me she liked me too."
She giggles, "You're so cheesy."
I smirk, "Only for you. Now let's go get some food."
--------
"You're right, this is better than cupcakes." Brook tells me as she takes a bite of her BLT.
"I'm always right." I smirk.
She punches my arm, "Cocky."
"And proud." I smirk.
"You and Shane, I swear." She shakes her head.
"Me and Shane what?"
"Y'all are both so cocky."
"Well, we are best friends if that's what you mean."
