So, after so long, I finally sat down and finished writing this chapter! I actually like how this one turned out. Oh, and this chapter is practically in Zayn's point of view... so bear with me! x

I took several steps away from him. "What are you doing here, Zayn?" I choked, the lump in my throat refusing to dissipate. "I thought I was on a date with Harry."
"Harry--- what?" He blinked, frustratingly running his hand through his thick hair. "He told me I was going on a date with a fan for publicity---" His eyes narrowed and he swirled around to kick a can of rubbish. "That fucking wanker!"
"Oh, don't hurt yourself," I rolled my eyes, crossing my arms over my chest. "I know it's killing you being less than five feet away from me."
Facing me, his brows furrowed as he continued to stare at me. "What are you talking about, Libby?"
"Where were you for two years, Zayn?" I snarled, stomping my foot on the ground. By how hard I'd struck the floor, I could have sworn my heel had snapped off. "Where were you when my parents got in that accident, Zayn?"
His eyes widened and I thought I saw him blink back tears. "Libbs, I had no idea---"
"I needed you, Zayn. I needed my best friend by my side at the funeral, but I was there holding hands with your mum instead." My hand reached up to my necklace, my fingers toying with the pendant. "When I needed you the most, you weren't there."
Stepping in front of me, Zayn took my hand in his, the other one cupping my cheek like he'd always done when I was upset. "I'm so sorry, Libby. I had no idea. If I'd known---"
"What?" I snickered, yanking myself out of his grip. "You would've come back? You promised you'd never forget about me."
"And I never did!" He finally shouted, his arms swinging violently around his head. "You can't ever shut up for more than a second to hear what anyone else has got to say." I pressed my lips together. Zayn rarely ever yelled; but when he did, it completely rendered me speechless. "So, for once, let me speak."
Sighing, I leaned against the wall, gesturing him to proceed. "During the X-Factor, everything was going so swell and I'd call you every night and we'd talk for hours. Remember?" I nodded, an image of us webcamming flashing behind my eyes. "But even before I was put in the band, you told me that you were getting tons of hate. From people here in Bradford and even just all around the UK."
"I was strong enough to manage some hate for being best friend's with a pop star." I snickered. "But I guess it's too late for that."
Abruptly, the wind was knocked out of me as I was enveloped in a pair of arms, holding me tightly to his chest. My eyes widened as I stared over Zayn's shoulder, my own arms still paralysed by my sides.
"I never wanted any of this to happen, Libby. Losing you had to have been the hardest thing I'd ever gone through." He whispered in my ear, his hand stroking the curls that cascaded down my back. "You were my best friend and I was stupid to just... Well, I was stupid to think that I could let you go that easily."
Arching my brow, I peered up at him. Those gorgeous brown eyes were glowing as he pressed his forehead against mine. How we always started our inspirational pep talks. He even placed his hand on the back of my neck, his palm warm against my flesh.
