Chapter 22

„No. It isn't your business (y/n)!" The boys said and walked past me. How could they say that?
„Don't leave me here like this!" I yelled at them.
But no reaction, no answers just the cold air and the darkness of the night.

The night felt like days whilst I was sitting outside of the trailer and just looking up into the sky watching some owls flying around and hoping for some shooting stars till the sun would start to rise.
And finally the sun started rising.
I hadn't slept the whole night but I didn't want to. Something deep inside of me was keeping me awake and I didn't even know why or what it was...

I stood up from the place I was sitting and walked over to Toni's trailer and pinned a little paper on her door.
I didn't want them to be worried when I left for school before them but I wasn't able to talk to them right now. This would be time for me to be alone for a while...

So i made my way to school before the Serpents were even awake.
I couldn't stand it that they wanted to keep me save from something I didn't even know about what was kind of freaking me out.

I wanted to try and focus on school today but the feeling of being watched didn't want to leave me.
And the fact that no one was on the streets right now didn't help me at all.
I stopped for a while and just listened to the birds when I heard something getting closer to me.

At first I was surprised that someone was already awake at this time but then I thought that maybe I wasn't the only one who wanted to clear her head so I didn't pay any attention to the car which was getting closer to me.

„Excuse me"a male voice said. I looked to my right and sow that the car already had caught up to me.
„Sure how can I help" I answered one of the two boys who were sitting in it, just trying to be nice.
He leaned a little out of the window and looked me right in the eyes.
„Aren't you (y/n)? The girl who's hanging around with this two Serpents, Sweet Pea and Fangs, lately?" he asked and started smirking at me. My heart dropped and I couldn't breathe for a moment.

I just stopped and starred at him.
„W-why d-do you w-want to know that" my heart started beating faster and faster. It nearly felt like it jumped out of my chest.
„Just tell them they better watch out for you. This time you were just lucky. Next time something will happen if they repeat their mistake from yesterday" he said and drove off...

The pictures from the day before started flashing before my eyes and I heard Penny's words appearing in my ears. Fuck, what have I got myself into? Why couldn't they just leave me alone? I didn't want to be a part of this dangerous game they were playing. I didn't want to be in it...
