Radix that weekend was great. 2 days of dancing, hanging out with friends, making memories and being with Kaycee. Will and Janelle invited the two of them for dinner the night after Radix along with Erica and it was so fun. They ate delicious meal and they got to catch up with each other, it was honestly the perfect way to end a beautiful week.
Today's finally the day. After almost a week and a half of waiting, both of them finally got the time to spend the day together.
Three days ago, Sean asked her parents if he could take her out for a friendly date, making sure they understand that it wasn't exactly a real date yet.
Sean felt shivers down his spine as he recalled the moment..
It was a weekend that day and Sean went over to Kaycee's house to pick her up for their rehearsal at a studio they have reserved for the day.
Kaycee laughed at Sean after seeing him so tensed for some reason. They were all sitting down at the table after she successfully forced him to have lunch with her and her family
"You okay?" She giggled
"Huh? Yeah, fine" He replied in a low voice taking a bite of his meal
"So what's your schedule this week? Any plans?" Laura asked the two kids sitting across her at the table
"Not much really... Sean's going to Mexico with his family for christmas though" Kaycee answered looking over to him
"That's great Sean! Oh and before I forget.." Her mom wiped her mouth with a napkin before continuing as Kaycee's eyes immediately lit up
"Uh-Sean, would you happen to like-"
"-to go to the grand canyon with us?!" Kaycee finished her mom's sentence with excitement all over her face
"Uhh sorry" she mumbled, quickly pulling herself together and tried her best to stay calm
"Grand canyon?" Sean asked, making sure he heard it right
"Yeah we're taking this huge RV that dad rented for all of us. It'll be so much fun!" She replied with a big smile, tugging on the sleeve of his shirt
"Uhh- that actually sounds great, I'll ask my mom" Sean chuckled at Kaycee who was obviously too excited
"I'll talk to your mom, it'll be great. You kids need some time off from work" Laura said to them as she also took a bite of her meal
"Uhh anyway Brad, Laura, Kylie.." Sean addressed her family, taking a deep breath as he gathered all of his strength
"Uhh I wanted to take Kaycee out on a friendly date.. if that's okay with all of you?" He said, trying to hide his nervousness. He could see Kaycee's expression in the corner of his eyes.. her mouth was open and her eyebrows were furrowed together
It took a moment for everyone to process what Sean just said which made him want the ground to swallow him whole
Kylie choked on her food and immediately chugged down some water. She didn't knew this day would come so quickly
"Friendly? Date?" Kaycee's dad asked curiously
"Yes, just a friendly date. Maybe watch a movie, grab some lunch" Sean tried to keep his cool, burying his nails into his skin
This actually happening right now? Kaycee argued with herself
"I'll bring her home before dark" He added hoping that it'll somehow make it better
