"Ready to go?"
Kaycee turned around as his dad gave her a sad smile
It's time to go home, after a few day of exploring the Grand Canyon. It honestly felt like a bliss and now it's the last day of 2017.
"Ready" she replied softly
"We'll leave in 10 minutes" her dad said
She dug her hands deep into her pockets and looked around the place once more before going back in the small and tiny RV again, which she dreaded to see everyday. But something about it makes her want to go back inside, especially when the sun is gone and it's time to sleep.
She let out a deep sigh before she noticed a figure coming close to her
"I swear Sean Lew I'm gonna hit you with a rock this time" she rolled her eyes and turned to face him
"I'm not even doing anything!" He exclaimed innocently
"Not yet" she said, arching her one of her eyebrows
"I've learned my lesson from last time, don't worry" he chuckled, ruffling her hair
They were talking about the incident the other day, when Kaycee was quietly drinking her cup of coffee outside their RV when Sean suddenly thought it was a great idea to scare her.
Well, it was really not. Kaycee burnt herself with the hot coffee and ended up chasing Sean all around the place, threatening to hit him with a rock
Lucky for him she didn't have the guts to actually do it.
Sean flashed back into reality upon hearing her soft giggle
"You're zoning out a lot these days, what's up?" She asked, both of them walking over to a nearby wooden bench
"Nothing... Just nothing" he hesitated to say
"You can't hide anything from me" she nudged his shoulder with her elbow
"I know. And I hate it" he said making both of them laugh
"Just spill already" she said casually
"Just world of dance. I can't get it out my brain" he let out an exasperated sigh
"Chill, I understand. Just live in the present sometime y'know? Let loose from time to time" Kaycee smiled, flexing her legs
Sean looked at her and admired her as she talks. He was mesmerized by the beauty right in front of him.
Oh how much he wanted to tuck those loose strands of hair behind her ear. How much he wanted to hold her soft warm hand. How much he wanted to kiss those perfectly curvy lips
Wait what? No. N.O. SEAN. No.
"You're zoning out again!" She punched his shoulder making him chuckle
"No, I'm all yours I swear"
Literally.
"I bet you didn't even hear a word I said" she giggled looking straight forward
"I did, believe me" he chuckled, still staring at her
"Yeah right" she let out a weird laugh
The air was freezing cold and it made all the trees around them dance. Her hair was flying around and same was for Sean's blonde hair.
"You're blonde is fading" she said, touching the tips of his hair
"Eh, still got 3 months before it all fades completely" he shrugged
