"We're here!" Sean exclaimed pulling the breaks as the car comes to a full stop
Kaycee looked up from her phone and turned off the blaring music from the speakers, "That was quick"
They both looked around and saw the empty parking lot. There were a few cars parked all around, but there was still a handful of empty slots
"Guess we're in luck, not much people are here" Sean said taking the seatbelt off that was trying to choke him
"Eh, I am not complaining" She giggled getting out of the car
Once she set foot on the ground, she instantly felt the heat of the sun burning her skin as she squinted her eyes.
Wearing a hoodie was definitely a bad idea.
She turned to look at Sean and saw him blocking his eyes from the radiating sun, his temples had beads of sweat dripping down as he also squinted his eyes to meet her gaze
He kinda looks cute.
She smiled to herself and pulled herself together, "Let's go"
Both of them started to walk side by side in a comfortable silence as their eyes focused on the ground. Their elbows nudging each other from time to time.
They entered the place and immediately saw the queue for the tickets. It was manageable but it was longer than they expected it to be, after seeing the emptiness outside
"So what movie are we gonna watch?" Kaycee asked as both of them stood in line
"Uhh- whatever you like, I honestly don't mind" he replied placing his hands inside his pockets
"Jumanji or The Greatest Showman?" She asked, completely ignoring what he just said
"Your pick. I have a copy of Jumanji in my laptop though, we could watch that another day." He replied looking at the TV screen above their heads
"Well, the Greatest Showman it is. I can't wait!" She said, getting all excited
After a few minutes, they didn't even notice the line getting shorter as both of them were too busy laughing their heads off. The next show was in 30 minutes, just enough time to buy their food.
"Oooh, gummy bears!" Kaycee exclaimed enthusiastically
Sean watched her as a smile slowly tugged at the corner of his lips. He waited for her patiently as she took her time to pick out all of the candy she could ever want in the whole store
"What do you want? C'mon, I'll pay for your food" she turned to look at him as she carried her bag full of candies
"Uhh- just popcorn, then maybe I'll steal some of your candy." He chuckled, putting on a devilish smile
"Oh hell no," Kaycee shook her head and laughed
After a few more minutes, they each got themselves a drink, a bag of candy for Kaycee and a bucket of popcorn for Sean. They noticed the time and decided to make a run for it, laughing and pushing each other along the way
It was dim and cold inside the cinema. The temperature was the complete opposite from outside in the parking lot. They both ducked their heads and searched for their seats in the massive room crowded with so many people. Luckily, they were able to get the best seats
They sat down in their rightful seats after struggling to find it at first. Both of them started to settle down and get comfy, placing their drinks in the cup holder as they chewed on their food.
