The 21 year old, jumped as her phone vibrated loudly, while interrupting the quiet nature of her bedroom.
She slowly turned to her nightstand to check the unread text message.
Chanyeol💞 Hey baby, just thinking of you...
Chae, felt her cheeks turn red, and her face grow warm. For however long her and Channie dated, she will always feel like a schoolgirl when he sent things like that.
Rosie🌹 At 12:36? Should I be worried?
She smiled, and bit her lip, as she waited eagerly for a response.
Chanyeol💞 ...(typing)
Chanyeol💞 Probably, since I think about you every minute of the day.
Chae couldn't help but blush at the cheesy message.
Rosie🌹 Go to sleep silly.
Chanyeol💞 Whatever you say babe.
Rosie🌹 G'night.
Chanyeol💞 Goodnight precious.
Chae felt special, even though they were simple words. She turned her phone off quietly, and lay her head back down comfortably on her soft pillow.
She gazed out her window, looking at the stars. Her mind was telling her everything was perfect. That everything was the way it was meant to be. But her heart...
Something felt different.
She was happy, wasn't she? Her stomach had butterflies each time she talked to Chanyeol, so why did she feel like something was missing? Like something was wrong? Her boyfriend was kind, caring, and definitely loving, so why did she still feel empty?
"Stupid Chae, not again. What on earth are you thinking?" She thought, shaking her head vigorously.
As her warm brown eyes gazed out the window into the starry night, she tried to relax her uneasy mind.
She wasn't being stupid. It wasn't some crazy thought.
But of course, she didn't know that.
Not yet anyway.
