Previously on FATE...
So I held on tighter as the wave towered above and crashed over us with the force of a thousand men.

Chaeyoung's POV.
When I opened my eyes, I saw nothing. Darkness.
"Where was I?" I asked myself. In bed? At my apartment?
No.
Suddenly the memories of my fight with my friends flooded through my brain. It hurt, like a fire scorching my body, so I opened my mouth to scream. But I couldn't, all that came out
were air bubbles.
"I'm underwater." My brain screamed.
Panicking I closed my mouth to save my air and looked up to try and see how deep down I was.
I couldn't even see the surface.
My eyes burned as I kept them open in the water. My fear was taking up my air as well, making me lose oxygen faster.
I used all my strength to swim up, at least where I thought up was. I pushed my floating long hair out of my face, but it felt useless. I had no idea which direction was which.
I'm going to drown.
Right here.
My heavy burning eyes closed slowly, despite my efforts.
"I love you mom, dad, Alice..." delirious and drowsy, I suddenly felt tired as the cold water stung my exposed body
"Chaeyoung?!"
Surprised my eyes fluttered back open.
"CHAEYOUNG!!!" The voice grew louder and I composed myself and tried to swim to where the sound was coming from.
Someone yelling, I could hear it, although the sound was muffled. I continued to swim weakly, as hard as I could towards the sound.
"Chaeyoung?! Where are you?!!" The masculine voice shouted from above.
But which way was above? Everything was so dark...
"Chaeyoung!!"
I snapped my head towards the sound of the same voice. It sounded closer, and as if it were underwater now...
Jungkook?!
My blurry vision could make out his figure a few feet away from me.
"Chaeyouhabsbsbe!!" He opened his mouth, bubbles pouring out. His words were barely heard. But I understood.
We both swam to each other, the closer I got to him the clearer the water became.
The surface! It was so close!
Jungkook reached out his hand as mine was only a few inches away from his.
"Why do you always save me.." I thought as our hands connected and he pulled me closer to air.
Fresh night air.
When I was out of the water, I breathed like I never had before. My nose and throat swallowing air forcefully.
"Breathe." Jungkook said holding my hands that rested on my lap. I realized he had pulled me up onto our wooden board, but he himself was still floating in front of me.
I shivered, but managed to remove my hand from his and tugged at his shirt.
"T-the water's c-cold. Get o-on-"
He shook his head and began to swim to the back of the board. "I'm gonna p-push." He tried hard to be strong but the water's low temperature forced him to shiver as he floated on the water.
