"Hey, amigo. You ok?"
"I'm fine, it's... it's fine."
"You sure?"
No. "Yeah, I'm sure.", Jaime sighed, ruffling up his hair with his hand.
Bart cocked a brow upon hearing his answer, obviously not believing his best friend's answer. But instead of pushing Jaime to tell him what happened, he shrugged and sighed.
"Alright. Just... feel better soon, 'k?", Bart said worriedly, patting Jaime's shoulder.
Jaime shot him a weak smile, "Right, right. Thanks, amigo."
Bart gave him a reassuring look and stood up, "I gotta go. Wally's probably waiting for me."
"Yeah, it's fine, bro. Go ahead.", Jaime gestured.
Bart clicked his tongue and sped off as fast as lightning. Jaime's weak smile faded quickly as soon as Bart left.
The girl may have been a spy for all I know. You should be happy she's not invading your privacy anymore, his scarab said to him, trying coax him into thinking that you leaving was good for him.
"I'm pretty sure she wasn't a spy.", Jaime said with an eyebrow raised, "And can you be at least a bit more supportive?"
Well, excuse me for caring then, his scarab said with a hint of sarcasm.
Jaime sighed at his scarab's sarcasm and stared at a nearby window. His reflection was staring back at him, as if it could feel his pain. He could almost imagine your smiling face instead of his own broken eyes.
He missed you.
He pulled his gaze away from the window and covered his face with his hands, letting out a small, frustrated groan.
Why did you have to leave?
Why did you have to leave him?

You were leaning against the mirror, your hands pressed on the glass.
For some reason, you hadn't arrived at a new destination. You were stuck inside some kind of vivid tunnel with no destination.
It was strange.
Not that it was any more fun. Watching lights and colors pass by you is not your idea of 'fun'. You sighed and plopped down onto the floor, sitting 'criss-cross-applesauce' (do any of you know this?) and cupping your cheeks with your hands.
You had no idea why the mirror was acting this way. This had never happened before, and you weren't sure why this would happen now.
You let out a sigh of boredom. Sure, you had a Green Lantern ring, but it wasn't working in this tunnel-thingy. So you were bored out of your mind.
Your mind wandered over to a certain black-eyed boy, making your heart sink even deeper. You knew this moment would come, but you still felt highly disappointed when you left.
Maybe you actually hoped you would stay even though you knew it wasn't possible.
Or maybe it was because you like him, a small voice in your head whispered.
