Bad Boy ~ Lin Yanjun

The Showcase

Finally it was the day of the showcase. Me and Yanjun hadn't talked ever since that one night.. it was as if he was avoiding me. Even more than before.

I had no time to worry about that now anyway. Everyone was rehearsing for their performance and we just finished with our rehearsal. We went to the dressing room to get dressed as we also took a quick sneak peek at the others their outfits. Everyone looked really nice, I somewhat felt intimidated since I honestly felt like a potato.

The showcase finally started and the first acts were going as me and Xukun waited for our turn. The Boyz were one of the first groups as they performed one of their own songs called Giddy up. It was a really nice song and the dance was really cool as well. They definitely gave us some hard competition. Then again it was supposed to be for fun but it would be quite a cool thing to have on my diploma. All the contestants sat behind the jury and they got called up when it was their turn. I looked to my right and saw Yanjun sit with Justin a few seats away. They both were wearing really nice colorful suits which actually looked really nice on them.

Me and Xukun decided to go somewhat matchy as well and something that fit the song we chose.

We stepped on the stage and I looked at Xukun once as he nodded at me trying to give me some last comfort. Okay here goes nothing..

Me and Xukun stood in our ending pose as everyone was applauding for us until he suddenly moved his head forward and kissed me. My eyes widened as I felt his lips on mine and we could hear the crowd cheer. He pulled back and I was too shook to say anything and didn't know what to do but to act like it was part of the show. We turned to the judges who each had a big smile on their face.

Each of them gave us continuous compliments as they were very impressed by our performance. After they finished we gave them a quick thank you and then moved back to our seats. I couldn't even bare looking at Xukun right now.. why did he kiss me.. ugh what is with guys in this school and randomly kissing girls.. I looked over at Yanjun and noticed that he was already looked at me. When our eyes met he didn't even bother to look away. He seemed angry and upset.. honestly can't say I feel any different..

My mind is a mess right now. Justin and Yanjun now got called on the stage as the final performance. I heard the music start and for some reason I felt tears sting in my eyes.

"I need to go" I said as I quickly got up and left the room.

I went outside and went over to the place me and Yanjun sat the other day. Nobody comes here during the evening anyway and most people are at the showcase. I sat down and buried my face in my hands. Why why why why, do they think I am some easy girl they can just kiss whenever they want? Why did he do that in front of everyone..

I heard footsteps come closer as I didn't even bother to look up. I felt someone sit down next to me but he or she didn't say a word so I couldn't tell who it was. I slowly lifted my head from my hands and saw Xukun sitting next to me. He was just staring at the ground without saying anything. "Can you leave I need to be alone"

He seemed to ignore me and just continued what he was doing. Ugh I will just leave myself then, I got up wanted to walk away until I felt him pull my arm and pull my in for a hug.

"L-let go of me"

"I'm sorry.. I didn't mean to make you feel uncomfortable" he quietly said. I stopped trying to push him away and let my arms slowly fall next to my body. "Why.. why did you do that" I felt a tear roll down my cheek as it dropped on Xukun his neck. "Do you think I am some sort of easy catch? Is that why you did it?"
