Bad Boy ~ Lin Yanjun

Practice

The next day I got up and left the dorm, I needed to give Yanjun his jacket back before people were going to think weird things of me. I put his jacket in my bag and looked around the campus for him. Normally this guy seems to be everywhere and now I can't even find him. I saw Hyunjoon walk in front of me and ran towards him, "Hey Hyunjoon, do you have any idea where Yanjun is?".

"I saw him behind the school earlier with his friends, me and Jacob walked by when we went to get food"

"Ahh I see, thank you!" I said before I ran off again. Should have thought of that before, well I guess my brain is still asleep.

I got to the place and indeed Yanjun and his friends were there. I approached them as Yanjun noticed me and looked up at me. "Ehh, I came to give you back your jacket" I said as I took it out of my bag. He took the jacket from my hands and put it on.

"Ohh so that was why you came without a jacket today, I already found it weird that you came out like this in the cold weather"

"Wait was this your only jacket?" I said as I felt a bit of frustration and guilt.

"Yeah, he had another one but it kind of got destroyed in a fight he got in a few weeks back" Justin said as he poked Xukun with his elbow while laughing.

I saw Xukun roll his eyes at them before he signaled them to follow him. "Wait, why did you give me your jacket if you only got one! You could have gotten sick you idiot"

"Why would you care" he said before he walked off.

Good question.. why do I care, was his own stupid decision. Oh well at least he got his jacket back now.

I met up with Xukun after school ended to practice more of the performance with him. Yesterday I ended up giving him my number so he could text me whenever he was able to practice. Maybe a dumb decision but oh well.

We met up in the school gym and discussed what we wanted to do for the whole performance. Xukun was actually quite serious when it comes to performing since he had some really good ideas. Would I be able to do any of his ideas no but if he can do it maybe they will pay more attention to him anyway, then again it is Xukun they probably will anyway.

We practiced for a good two hours and making some good practice, we decided to take a short break to catch our breath and drink something. I took a quick peek at Xukun and saw that his neck was shining in the light from the sweat. It looked kind of hot not going to lie.

"You're actually a better dancer than I thought" he suddenly said.

Is he making fun of me??

"Is that supposed to be a compliment"

"See it however you want, anyway, we have 2 weeks left to perfect this performance so we need to practice a lot. You want to meet up again tomorrow?"

I feel like I am being asked on a date.

"Yeah sure, tomorrow should be fine"

He got up again and took my hand to help me up. "Let's go one more time"

After practice I felt like my body was dead as I struggled out of the gym. Xukun was just laughing at my misery as he walked me back to the dorm. "I can go on my own"

"It wouldn't be very gentleman like if I let a girl walk alone in the dark" he said as he put his arm around me. "Besides I like being near you" he said as he smirked at me. Why is he such a flirt.

I said him goodbye as we got to the girls dorm and got to my room. I let myself drop on the bed and almost instantly fell asleep.

Me and Xukun practiced hard over the last week and basically already mastered the whole dance, we just needed to perfect it at this point. We also got a lot closer than I expected, well I guess that is what happens when you spend a lot of time together.

It was about 3 days before the actual showcase and I happened to have a day so I wanted to ask Xukun if he had time to help me with one move I struggled with a bit. I walked to their regular spot and found him there with Yanjun and Justin. Yanjun hasn't talked too much to me over the past week. It felt weird considering we used to bump into each other all the time.

As I approached them I saw Yanjun look up at me and then say goodbye to Justin and Xukun, are you avoiding me? I am not an actual stalker tf.

"What is his problem?" I asked as I stood still in front of them. "I have no idea, he has just been in a bit of a bad mood lately" Justin said.

"Ahh I see, anyway, Xukun do you have some time right now?"

"Yeah I think so why?"

I didn't answer him and just took his arm and pulled him with me. "I am going to borrow him for a bit" I said to Justin as I pulled Xukun away.

We walked inside the gym and he had basically already gotten the hint. "I need your help with something I am struggling with a bit" I said as I finally let go of his arm.

"With what? You seem to be doing fine with everything to me?" he said.

"It is.. just that.. I don't know how I feel about the dance.. like I can do it when I am just with you but I don't know if I can when others are watching me"

He came towards me and put his hands on my shoulder "one thing you should always remember, when you dance don't pay attention to what is around you, just pretend like it is just you and me"

I thought a bit about the choreography and felt my cheeks heat up. "I know it must be quite something to be dancing with someone as handsome as me but you just gotta get through it" he said as he turned his considerate face into a smirk. Ugh, what a jerk, that were his daily 3 seconds of being a nice normal human.

"Now we are here anyway, let's practice a bit more" Xukun said as he took his jacket off. I nodded my head and did the same. Suddenly we heard the door open and we saw Yanjun come in. "Oh.. I didn't know you guys were here.. I'll let you practice" he said as he wanted to walk out again. "Hey wait! You should watch our performance and give us feedback!" Xukun said as he ran after Yanjun. You could see from his face that he really wasn't down for it which made me want to push him a little more. "Yeah Yanjun come judge us" I said as I took his arm and pulled him inside.

"Fine" he said as he sat down.

"But we won't show everything, that would ruin part of the surprise" Xukun said as he gave me a smirk.

We finished the part of the choreography we wanted to show and Yanjun just stayed quiet. "So what did you think" Xukun said as he placed his arm around my neck. "Ehh.. yeah it was good, I see that you two have bonded pretty well".

My face heated up as I freed myself from Xukun his arm. "No way! He is still a jerk to me!" I said as I turned my back to him. "She clearly loves me" Xukun joked which made me hit him on his chest. "I gotta go" Yanjun said without leaving another word and just heading out.

Why is he like this again, he seemed so different from the Yanjun I have seen so far. He somehow seems upset and I don't know why.

"Xukun.."

He turned his head to me as he waited for me to continue.
