Bad Boy ~ Lin Yanjun

A new face

I walked out and headed towards class. Eric had texted me that he wouldn't be going to class today since he had to go somewhere so I would be on my own again. Of course it had to happen that the one day I am alone in class, a new student would come to our class and of course he had to take the seat next to me. That is not even everything he happened to be a total jerk as well, who is this Zhengting his brother. I peeked over at him and saw that he had his eyes closed as the teacher was talking. Is he sleeping? During class on this first day, this man has no nerve. I don't even remember what his name was anymore.. Ze... Ze... Zeren? I think that was it. He was one of those typical pretty rich guys who happens to be a jerk.

He suddenly opened his eyes and looked at me, oh god I have been caught staring. He looked weird at me and then turned his sight to the front of the class. Great now he must think I am some sort of pervert.. not again..

Class was almost over and the teacher was finally done with talking, it felt like she was never going to stop. I put down my pen and rubbed my hand, it was so sore from all the writing. The bell rang and I wanted to pack my stuff but Zeren took the notes I have been writing and put it in his bag. "Hey! What are you doing those are mine" I said as I tried to grab them back. "I don't see your name on it" he said before he got up and left the classroom. I sat there beaten until I grabbed the rest of my stuff and ran after him. I saw him walking alone in the hall so I ran over grabbed him by his shoulder and turned him towards me. "You should have written your own and not steal mine, give them back" I insisted.

He chuckled as if he was making fun of me. "You will have to take it from me" he said. "Are you crazy" I said as I crossed my arms. He just smirked at me, is he making fun of me now. I sighed and wanted to take one step until I suddenly heard someone his voice. "She told you to give it back" I turned around and saw Zhengting approach us followed by Tess. "I was just joking, calm down" Zeren said as he took out my notes and gave them back. "See you later" he said as he messed up my hair with his hand and then walked off.

"What a jerk" Tess said as she watched him disappear in the hall. "You should have just kicked his ass to be honest" Zhengting chuckled as he leaned against the wall. "Do you think I could 1v1 him in a fight? Have you looked at me?" I said as I walked towards him. "Uhm.. Thank you though" I said with an awkward smile. "Yeah you were so brave" Tess cheered as she clanged on to his arm. I saw a small appear on his face as his cheeks turned red as well and I couldn't help but chuckle. "Well I am going to get some food are you guys joining me?" I asked. They both nodded as they followed me down to the cafeteria.

We bought our food and then headed outside to our regular eating place. We sat down and I peeked over at Yanjun his table. How can someone be so handsome while eating. From the corner of my eyes I saw someone approach their table, it was Zeren! What is he doing there with them? Does he.. know them?

I watched him greet the guys as if they knew each other already and sat down next to them. Yanjun didn't even seem to notice me sitting here as I just watched them for the whole break with a sore face. "Melis? Are you okay?" Tess asked me as she poked my arm. I turned my look to them and saw that they were both staring at me. "What is that guy doing with them?" Zhengting asked as he now noticed what I was looking at. "I don't know, Zeren just joined my class today I don't know how they know each other" I said as I looked down. "Wait that is Zeren? Yanjun mentioned him yesterday. I think they used to live in the same neighbourhood together" Zhengting suddenly said. Well that explains a lot, two pretty rich boys who come from the same neighbourhood. "I see" I said as I took a bite from my food.

I suddenly felt two arms close around my neck and my head being pulled towards a chest. "Why is my princess looking so down" I heard Yanjun his voice say. I turned my head and saw Yanjun his smiley face looking at me. I couldn't help but smile as I was looking at his face. "See that is much better already" he said as he sat down next to me.

"I'm sorry it took me so look to come to you but a friend of mine who I have known for a very long time has transferred to this school and we had to catch up a bit" he said as he put his arm around my shoulders. "It's okay I understand" I said as I placed a kiss on his cheek. "You guys are going to make me throw up" Zhengting said as he looked disgusted at us. "Ahh, let them be cute together" Tess said as she placed her head on his shoulder.

"So this is your girlfriend" I heard Zeren his voice say from behind me. I turned around to face him and I saw him flinch as he saw my face. "Ohh it is you!" he said as he was clearly trying to hold in his laugh. "You two know each other?" Yanjun said as he looked confused at us. "Yeahh, we are in the same class together" Zeren said. "Oh really? That is a coincidence" Yanjun said as he looked still shook.

The bell rang and I felt like I was actually saved by the bell as the atmosphere got very awkward. "I will see you later" I said as I gave Yanjun a kiss and waved him goodbye. I saw that Zeren joined himself next to me as I made my way to class. "So you were the girl Yanjun told me about, that was quite the surprise" he chuckled as we walked inside the building. "Yeah.. I guess so" I plain responded.

"Are you still mad at me? I was really joking" he said as he pouted at me. I sighed and turned my sight back to the hall. "I'm not mad now stop pouting at me" I said. I sat down in my seat and Zeren took place in his again. "Well if you want to know anything about past Yanjun you can ask everything to me, I know about everything there is to know" he said. Hmm.. That does sound tempting, what kind of guy did he used to be maybe he was totally shy way back or still a bad boy like he is now. "Well you smirk tells me you're interested" Zeren chuckled. I didn't even notice that I was smirking as I quickly covered my mouth. "I-I wasn't smirking! It is just.. my natural face" I said as I felt totally embarrassed.

"Well ask me anything then" he said as he looked at me in anticipation. "Well.. what kind of guy did Yanjun used to be in school?" I asked. "Well, not much different from now to be honest, he was always one of the more popular guys in school because of his looks and everything but I wouldn't have imagined him having a girlfriend back then, he always used to say that he will stay alone forever. That was why I was quite surprised when he said that he has a girlfriend" he said. Alone forever? Why would he say something like that..

"Why did he say that?" I carefully asked. "Well.. I don't know if I can tell everything but he used to have a girlfriend before.. but let's say that he lost her and he was afraid ever since to bond like that with anyone. But I guess you managed to convince him"

He lost his girlfriend? Like a breakup? Or she moved? Or did she.. die..? I am so confused right now. "What do you mean he lost.. his girlfriend?" I asked. "I can't tell you right now, I don't even know if Yanjun even wants you to know since he hasn't told you himself so I guess I will have to continue this story later or you will have to ask him yourself" he said.

Ugh this whole thing is going to drive me crazy. I tried to pay attention in class but my mind was all over the place. Why did he have to tell me that, I would have rather not known.. well I guess I asked for it myself. Dammit my curiosity.

Class ended and I packed my stuff and pulled Zeren with me towards the back of the school. "You have to tell me or I will go sane" I said as I finally let go of his arm. "I told you I can't just tell you without Yanjun knowing or saying it himself"

"Say what myself?" I suddenly saw Yanjun appear from behind Zeren as he looked very confused.
